About this venue

The NOCCA Foundation is the nonprofit that supports the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, which is Louisiana's arts conservatory for high school students. Our venues are located in one of New Orleans' oldest neighborhoods, the Faubourg Marigny, just upriver from the Bywater. Our buildings date from the early 1800s and have been beautifully restored with modern amenities. Funds from rentals help support a range of programs for students, faculty, and the community, including an Artists-in-Residence program that brings up to 100 visiting artists into NOCCA's classrooms each year; professional development funds for NOCCA faculty; and a series of concerts, gallery exhibitions, readings, and classes for the community.

Historic venue in the heart of an historic city

Press Street Station is a beautiful, airy event venue that features architectural details from the building's long history as a railway facility and warehouse. A recent restoration added modern updates, including glass garage doors that can be rolled up during nice weather, a marble bar, flat-screen TVs, and a professional kitchen. The adjacent, art-filled 5 Press Gallery makes a wonderful space for small ceremonies and conversation areas.

Included in this room:

Your rental includes the use of the kitchen, as well as tables and chairs. We have four-tops and two-tops for "restaurant style" receptions, as well as six-foot tables for something a bit more "family style". There are also six high-boy tables for cocktail parties, and enough outdoor furniture (shared with Press Street Gardens) to accommodate 24 guests.

It’s a half-acre urban farm, an outdoor laboratory, and a beautiful event space that can accommodate a wide variety of groups.
