Newly painted white March 2024! Happily accommodating 200 guests, we have two dressing suites, a full kitchen, a dedicated ceremony room, plenty of bathrooms and air conditioning throughout. There is ample of parking for all of your guests and staff will be on site for the duration of your event. The English Country Barn offers several flexible space choices to make the wedding of your dreams come to life! A huge covered chapel seating up to 200 guests giving you even more choice for your ceremony. In addition we have a stunning outdoor fireplace, a beautiful fountain and hand crafted outdoor bar all on our adjacent patio, the perfect spot for cocktail hour. We also boast 3 houses onsite available for wedding party or out of town guests.

Our venue is located in rural North Carolina is the newest and largest in the area. We offer space for approximately 450 guests for expos and conferences, about 300 guests for weddings and formal events, and for outdoor events and concerts we can accommodate over 600 guests. La Esperanza-Ranch is a family owned farm located in rural Delco, just thirty minutes from Wilmington, and a short drive from Leland, NC. The ranch boasts a beautiful and tranquil countryside setting. The family keeps horses in the stable, and has transformed a section of the ranch as a venue to host wedding receptions, birthday celebrations and other events.

In the year of 1762, Mr. Newberry and Mr. Thames purchased the land from Mr. Gray. In the deed, there was mention of a sawmill and grist mill on the place, but no mention of a house. In 1833 Mr. Byrne purchased the land from Mr. Newberry. At this time the house and store were on the land. Later on Mr. Byrne sold the land, and it change hands several times..." The house served as a mill home, store, and the Gray's Creek post office for many years.

It is soft, sparkly, and has a hushed elegance with just enough wood to make it comfortable. It is practically decorated for you with lights, chandeliers, draping, and seating up to 150.
