La Esperanza-Ranch is a family owned farm located in rural Delco, just thirty minutes from Wilmington, and a short drive from Leland, NC. The ranch boasts a beautiful and tranquil countryside setting. The family keeps horses in the stable, and has transformed a section of the ranch as a venue to host wedding receptions, birthday celebrations and other events.

Our patios, views, and outdoor pavilion, in an idyllic setting – just outside the city limits, are the perfect backdrop for your wedding or special event. In the year of 1762, Mr. Newberry and Mr. Thames purchased the land from Mr. Gray. In the deed, there was mention of a sawmill and grist mill on the place, but no mention of a house. In 1833 Mr. Byrne purchased the land from Mr. Newberry. At this time the house and store were on the land. Later on Mr. Byrne sold the land, and it change hands several times..." The house served as a mill home, store, and the Gray's Creek post office for many years.

Our Indoor venue has Heat and A/C making it comfortable year round. There is something magical about it and people comment all the time about the wonderful feeling there is inside. It is soft, sparkly, and has a hushed elegance with just enough wood to make it comfortable. It is practically decorated for you with lights, chandeliers, draping, and seating up to 150.
