Arthur did a great job with the ceremony and cocktail hour, and managed a tricky parent dance section (multiple sets of parents & timing!) We requested a Taylor Swift mashup and he exceeded expectations and made it the highlight of our night. The dance floor was always packed, and Arthur did a great job of taking into account our requests while playing music everyone would enjoy. We opted to use uplighting as well, which looked beautiful during dinner (we chose a warm lighting) and was so fun for the dance floor with flashing lights. By the end of the night, he even had guests asking him to travel to Texas to DJ their wedding! Booking DJ Thrilla was one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding and we could not recommend him more!”

“My husband and I recently got married September 2023 at Hotel Providence in Rhode Island. Planning a wedding was one of the hardest things I ever had to do in my life. Josh kept playing amazing music. All night I wasn’t let down once by the song choice. In some areas the venue messed up on a few things. Example the cake cutting and first dance. The hotel really didn’t nail timing so josh Took complete control of the wedding and saved it truly. He made sure my cake cutting and first dance were memorable because the hotel slipped with this. Nothing like a DJ who saves the day too. The best part of it all while DJing Josh found time to take so many photos. He wasn’t asked or required to do so. He took it upon himself to take more professional photos for us. That’s what I call above and beyond. Couldn’t believe he went that far out of his way for us. “We couldn't recommend The 1999 enough!! We first saw them at the Thirsty Moose bar in New Hampshire. That night, we had such a good time that we decided we wanted them as our wedding band over the other more traditional soul/r&b band we had in mind. They were able to play a lot of modern rock and pop favorites for us and our friends but also throw in a few classics for our parents and older guests. They even let us help decided the final set list to ensure a wide variety of songs. Working with them was such a breeze as Rob and Alex are so incredible detailed-obsessed -- we didn't have to worry about a thing because they gave us the confidence going into our wedding that they had it under control from pre-planning to end of night. We couldn't have asked for a better band and we are now happy to call them friends for life! Such great people, amazing professionals and talented musicians.”
