FIREHOUSE HISTORY OLD ENGINE HOUSE No. 35 The Fiirehouse was built in 1927 and was active until 1998. One of five bungalow style firehouse in Wisconsin (so truly one of a kind!) This firehouse was considered "Old Engine House No. 35 & Ladder Co. 16" and now named Story Hill FireHouse. Historic "bungalow style" firehouse was purchased in December 2018 by Janelle Meyer-Brown, owner/planner of evenement planning. Janelle brought new life to the Firehouse by opening walls and adding some modern touches to compliment the historic elements. She has designed the building to be a unique event venue option that will make your event ONE OF A KIND! The Evergreen Room, our banquet facility, is nestled in a beautifully landscaped hillside. The room can hold up to 250 guest for a plated reception or 220 for a buffet reception. Attached to the room is The Pub Bar. This large bar is penninsula shaped and served from 3 sides. Located in the heart of downtown Barrington, this 1898 home belonged to local philanthropists John and Julia Robertson at the turn of the century. It was meticulously restored in 2015 to capture the timeless beauty of the home while providing every modern amenity. We can accommodate both intimate weddings of 50 or less and larger weddings up to 130 (150 for ceremony only).
