In both, our biggest priority was having a photographer capture the intimate, joyful small details. We went with Emilee because of her eye for the beauty in the small things. She captured both our days perfectly. DOCUMENTARY STYLE: Emilee was perfect behind the scenes, capturing beautiful moments of our friends and family, small details of the courthouse with just us. I look back at some of these photos and ask "how did she even get that?!" She has such an eye. POSED: We had about 20 minutes dedicated to posed, family photos during our reception. Emilee had our families relaxed and laughing, quickly swapping members in and out. In some newlywed photos, we sought her advice for how to pose. I met with several photographers before her and either their pricing was not within our range or I didn’t feel any “connection” with them. When I met Lisa over FaceTime I was in Target with my two toddlers because I had my schedule mixed up. She laughed about it and we were able to have a productive meeting despite the mix up. I hired Lisa not long after and I am so glad I did. Besides from being a phenomenal photographer, her personality is what put the cherry on top. She is detail oriented and assertive - like myself- and had a very efficient way of photographing our bridal party where we were even able to enjoy our cocktail hour without having a first look. She was excellent and extremely patient with our two kids. Our family loved her as did we! We were even able to get her out on the dance floor for a bit! We wish we didn’t live so far away otherwise we would be using her as our photographer a whole lot. Thank you Lisa for being such an important part of our day and for having such an incredible heart.”
