The Reneau Farms Event Venue is located on 150 acres outside the Greater New Braunfels area on the original 100+-year-old family owned and operated farm. The farm also includes an original 1924 southern Farmhouse, affectionately referred to as Granny’s which was originally built as a wedding present for Granny. Built in 1921, the Martindale Schoolhouse is an official Texas Historical Landmark. The feeling of being inside a 100 year-old school building will transport you back in time to experience what a rural school was like over a century ago. The Martindale Schoolhouse is centrally located between Austin and San Antonio and is perfect for weddings, special events, weekend getaways, and outdoor excursions. First, there’s the expansive five-room villa that was once the original school. Carefully curated with art from around the world, the schoolhouse sleeps 14 and has been fully modernized with a large kitchen, multiple seating areas, a great lawn and a covered veranda with an outdoor fireplace. Next, there's the Martindale Social Hall. Perfect for wedding receptions, dances, corporate outings, you name it... all hosted under the sky and stars within the walls of the original school gymnasium. Texas Rock House is a labor of love. My grandparents built the house and barns in the 1940's as a working farm for their family. My mother was the youngest of seven children that grew up here. I grew up almost across the street with my mom (Joyce), daddy (Buddy), and brother (Larry). Larry and I spent almost every Friday night here - listening to his records on Grandma's old record player or sitting on the back porch swing counting the number of cars on the trains as they passed by. Whether you are looking for a memorable barn wedding venue for your special day, a unique event space for your corporate meeting, or a beautiful place to celebrate one of life's special moments, the Texas Rock House is the place to be! We have a wedding venue located on our 100-acre property in a 150 year old pecan grove overlooking the San Marcos River. You'll have the option to reserve our seven luxury safari tents and cabin for your wedding weekend, allowing you to provide lodging to your guests. You may also reserve additional pop-up tents if you would like to accommodate additional guests.

The Old Mill Weddings & Events Center features architectural treasures such as light grained cathedral wood ceilings and beams, beautiful stained concrete floor, elegant wrought iron staircase, a splendid rustic centerpiece chandelier and of course the Old Mill Wheel, reminiscent of the origins of Gruene Texas. Our 12,000 sq ft facility can host weddings of varying sizes, from intimate gatherings to larger groups up to 350.
