I’m a wine country native and learned the photographic arts from my family. My early travels and studies in the art & humanities opened my horizons to culture and diversity, plus I'm of mixed ethnicity. I really enjoy photographing weddings, because it has influenced me in a variety of unexpected and good ways. Each wedding has their own uniqueness, personality, and beauty. My life experience in wedding, portrait, & event photography has been a very gratifying and fulfilling journey. I’ve been pro wedding photographer for over 15yrs, and I’m insured.

My father handed me a camera when I was 7 years old and told me to shoot, everything, everywhere. I have had a camera in my hands ever since. After 8 years in Los Angeles I chose family over Hollywood. I wanted my kids to have the childhood experience I had – trees, dirt, animals and nature. Once back in Sonoma County, I had the great fortune of apprenticing with an award winning wedding photographer. After several years of the work, I was hooked! It’s an honor being with people on one of the most important days of their lives. To tell the story of it. To capture the beauty, the excitement, the drama of it all.

I was raised north of San Francisco in beautiful West Sonoma County. My wife and I moved back home after living in Oakland for a number of years, and are now raising our daughter in the home my wife grew up in - it's magical. I love finding new places to photograph in Sonoma County and beyond, and I love making new memories in the familiar places I know so well. Weddings make me giddy, and I can't get enough of that feeling. Besides photographing weddings and spending time with my family, I'm also a lecturer in photography at CSU East Bay. Teaching what I love is a true gift, and I'm grateful for this opportunity to share with my students.

It is located on the O’Connell Vineyards and Apple Orchard Estate in the Russian River Valley wine region of beautiful Sonoma County. To the east, the scenic views look over hundreds of acres of vineyards and stretch across the Santa Rosa Valley to Mount St. Helena and the Coastal Mountain Range in the north to the San Francisco Bay Area in the south. To the west, the views look out across the vineyards and apple orchards to Green Valley and the Russian River Valley. Vine Hill House estate gardens include a grove with Douglas firs, redwoods, and oaks in a natural setting, spacious lawns and lovely flower gardens, and many other delightful extras.
