WindSong Farm is a Wedding and Event venue in Burns, TN. It was the dream of Michael and Aimee Fisher who began construction of the custom barn with large Great Room, Public Restrooms, Bride and Grooms Suites with private baths and a full service Caterer’s Prep Kitchen on the 32 acre farm in 2019. Michael grew up in the area and had always loved the farm and dreamed of having a farm like it someday and was able to purchase the farm in 2016. Little did he know that he would one day meet someone who had the same dream, and he and Aimee were married here at the farm in 2019. Burdoc Farms has been owned and operated by the Shepherd family since 1942. With over 650 acres of open fields there are 2 different venues on the property for weddings. In 2012, the Shepherds hosted a wedding on the family farm. All the guests talked about was how beautiful the farm was and how they should be doing weddings full time. The Shepherd family converted the tobacco-cattle barn into a reception barn with all the amenities; bathrooms, kitchen, and electricity. The Shepherd family painstakingly rehabbed and recycled all of the materials in both barns to enhance and preserve the authenticity of the buildings. After converting the Tobacco Barn, they booked 24 weddings and then the next year they booked 38 weddings. In 2016, they decided to expand the business and build a year-round building, Keith Glen, in another location of the farm. Burdoc Farms hosts 60 to 80 weddings a year with couples coming from all over the country and a few from overseas!

Duck Pond Manor was originally known as the England Mansion. The mansion’s building process began in 1861(according to family stories). The house was finally completed Dec 27, 1867. This 5000 sq ft mansion was built using bricks fired in a kiln right in the farm. The original Apple House still stands behind the mansion.

Come and see one of the few remaining street-running train tracks in the entire country! It is a unique experience to watch the freight trains run down the middle of Main Street in La Grange’s business district. Visitors come from all over the country to partake! Trains pass through the city an average of 23 times a day, giving spectators ample opportunity to enjoy this phenomenon. The tracks can be viewed conveniently and comfortably from the train observation tower on Main Street. The La Grange Railroad Museum is a must-see destination. The railroad was (and still is) an integral part of La Grange’s history. Don’t miss out!

The Captain's Nest is one of the more unique properties in the city of Louisville. It is located on one semi-private acre near Captain's Quarters and offers stunning views and sunsets. Founded in 1905 by Ben Schrader and a group of local tavern owners and grocers, the original Falls City was formed to fight a big beer takeover in Louisville. In 1906, Otto Doerr was hired as our first brew master and our beer soon began appearing in local taverns. Shortly thereafter, a bottling plant was added and Falls City became one of the most popular breweries in Louisville, KY. The Falls City Beer Taproom in the NuLu neighborhood recently underwent transformation as PARLOUR steps in for a collaborative restaurant venture. Firefly Lane is located on our 85+ acre family farm with two available venues. The Barn is 4000 square foot of climate controlled space and offers two ceremony locations, the Enchanted Forest or the Garden. The Chapel is an open air Chapel for your ceremony and a open air building beside it for your reception. Each venue has it's own private entrance on the property.
