For over a century, Cairnwood has been hosting wedding receptions within its halls. The tradition began with John and Gertrude Pitcairn opening their home for a marriage celebration in 1896. As the one-time home of John James Audubon, the Audubon Center strives to continue his work by connecting people with nature through his art and the fascinating story of the American conservation movement. The Center provides educational programs to the public regarding the conservation and protection of wildlife habitats and species as well as providing a sanctuary for local bird species.
