We hired Brenda for a small ceremony we had. She was great, she was sweet and I felt comfortable with her which is how I wanted to feel in our photos. She was patient and made the process of taking photos easy. I was amazed when she sent a few example photos the next day..they were all beautiful. I’m so excited to see the rest. Thankfully Brenda knew how to use zoom which was a huge help for us, she was quick to offer help and I appreciated that greatly. I know for sure if we ever need a photographer for anything else we would definitely use Brenda again.

GourMel seamlessly integrated family-style dinner service at our request, plus custom cocktails, mocktails and non-traditional desserts. Mel shaped our dinner into something people raved about for the next year. With a deep bench of menu options, we appreciated how Mel talked us through how dishes could work together or be approached differently. Mel's team was amazing and checked on us throughout the wedding. We wanted for nothing! Her service staff is the best in town. Mel choreographed our entire day, facilitated rentals, entertainment and kept up right on schedule. She and her staff sent us off with a surprise picnic dinner with plates, forks, napkins and wine since they knew we didn't eat much due to socializing so much. With the partial planning package including design elements, Regan created stunning mood boards that wowed our vendors and answered all my Type A questions with patience and precision. She was incredibly supportive throughout, making the planning process something we genuinely looked forward to. We loved our regular meetings and were genuinely sad when the process was over—not just because our wedding day had come to an end, but because it meant we wouldn't see her every other week. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives, and it was absolutely flawless. Regan handled any hiccups like a seasoned pro, and we received countless compliments from vendors and guests alike on how smoothly everything ran. We catered from FUEGOSLA, and it was an absolute hit! Their empanadas are truly the best in Los Angeles. Our guests couldn’t get enough of the Meat, vegan meat, Caprese, and Humita. Each one was a flavor-packed delight. The crust was perfectly flaky, and the fillings were rich and satisfying. It perfectly embodies the romantic, woodsy vibe we were searching for, with lush greenery that feels worlds away from the busy LA metro area, yet still conveniently close to it—especially for those of us familiar with the Valley. Nestled in the heart of Topanga Canyon, The 1909 offers a serene escape from city life. The venue provides a variety of rental options that seamlessly complement the natural setting, and everything is meticulously maintained. What really impressed us was the rental package—it includes access to the entire event space, from the beautiful ceremony deck and reception lawn to the indoor dance floor and bridal suite. Valentine is our grandest location, and features a flowing 9,000 square-foot site plan designed for private events, courtyard weddings, receptions, exhibitions, productions and live performances. The venue is fully amenitized, and we provide experienced, professional site management, plus a commercial kitchen for client-selected catering teams. Originally built in the 1920’s in an area that has long served as the city’s seafood market east of Downtown, the building has lived many lives in its century of use; it’s been a hotel, a brothel, a fish and oyster company, and a commercial site for everything from glass blowing to marijuana cultivation. This mysterious history subtly informed our re-invention of the space.

We cannot thank Valentine DTLA (and the whole team at Marvimon) for going above and beyond and making sure our wedding really was everything we dreamed it would be! Here is a quick breakdown of how it all went down: We originally found Grass Room on Pinterest and always dreamt of getting married here! We went to visit the venue and loved it, but then they showed us Valentine DTLA and we realized that fit us A LOT more! We were looking for a venue that would "WOW" our out of town family members from NY and NE and give them an experience they could only have in LA! The dining area was laid out beautifully with a projector (that we used to project our seating chart and then play clips from our favorite romance movies while we danced), a historic looking bar that spoke for itself, and a ceremony area that's full of greenery (and the best lighting for posed photos)! While the place was a little out of our price range, we decided to have our wedding for 150 people on a Friday and it was worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY. Once we signed the contract, we were put in contact with Dana and her team (Clare and Ariel) who helped us every step of the way and was there to answer ALL of our questions (which were a TON)! They provided us with paperwork that clearly outlined the rules of the venue and gave us a list of recommended vendors that have worked the venue before which helped us out a TON! One thing to note as you're considering this place, you will need to pay for a valet with White Label Valet who were very easy to work with and we HIGHLY recommend having since the area outside of the venue isn't the safest. Also, the venue does have security so there was never a moment where we or a guest felt unsafe. We spent a year and half of planning everything with Dana and her team at Valentine DTLA before our wedding. This included visiting the venue, having meetings in person to discuss the layout of everything, and asking us questions for things we never would have thought of to make sure all of our bases were covered. Dana and her team were so kind, helpful, and made sure we felt good when the day finally came and always checked in to see if we were stressing out as we got closer and to see if there was anything they could do to alleviate our worries. When the wedding day finally came, their site representative and our Day of Coordinator from "Pop the Champagne" (who was a DREAM to work with) made sure our wedding day went perfectly and that all the vendors obeyed the rules outlined in the contract so we didn't have to worry about anything at all! As soon as we walked into the venue, all of the stress was gone and the best day of our lives commenced! It seriously was the best day of our lives and we never felt so loved and that's thanks to Valentine DTLA (and Marvimon)! Even our guests were in complete awe of the venue and had a blast as well! We cannot thank Valentine DTLA and Marvimon enough for giving us the perfect wedding! Now quit reading this review and go book this beautiful venue!

Working with the Ebell was an absolute joy, every single person we interacted with was professional, kind, funny, and most importantly, cared so deeply about our special day. I’d be remiss not to mention our coordinator, Katie, who I could not extend enough gratitude to if I tried. If location and people weren’t enough, our food and drinks were actually insane. Two months after our wedding, we are still getting compliments on the food. Finally, the banquet staff, the real stars of the day itself, were remarkable. Such professionalism and poise that you could only expect from a place that looks like the Ebell. Truly an absolutely incredible experience, a dream come true.

My husband and I cant recommend Thomas enough! When we started wedding planning , on our top 5 priority was food! We didn’t want your standard chicken, salmon or steak you often get at weddings. We wanted something that fit our personality. When we found Thomas we went to a pop up to sample and he took over an hour while he was working to engage with us , let us taste and quite frankly blew us away! Thomas and his team were very professional , had a nice classy set up and most of all the quality of the food was amazing! Anything you ate at my wedding was tasty. I’m so glad we went with Thomas it was unique and everyone loved it! We received so many compliments from our guests regarding cocktail hour apps to the dinner! There was plenty of food and everyone’s food came out hot, no long lines! If you are thinking of catering fire and wood for your event don’t think twice! You will not regret it!

While I was the bride, I could have hung out with Diamond and her second bartender all night. They were so much fun!! Diamond is so professional, charismatic, and a hard worker! We did his and hers signature cocktails, his was a cucumber jalapeno margarita and hers was a moscow mule. Each executed with perfection! The cucumber jalapeno juice was homemade by Diamond and it has been weeks since our wedding and people are still telling me how great it was. Plus, we are still getting people telling us how amazing our bartenders were! Thank you so much, Diamond!!

La Venta was a wonderful venue for our October wedding. They handled so many of the complicated parts of our event, the price was very reasonable, the food was delicious, and of course the venue itself was stunning. I’ve always loved hair and makeup, so getting it professionally done was one of the things I was most excited about for my wedding. Choosing a HMU artist was overwhelming, especially with so many highly recommended options. Emily Lynn & Co. stood out to me because of their natural approach. Their website had an editorial yet relaxed and fun vibe that resonated with me. As a graphic designer, a beautifully designed brand and website played a big role in all my vendor decisions—but Emily Lynn & Co.'s work truly spoke for itself. I had the pleasure of working with Colette as my lead artist, and I can’t recommend her enough. She made the trial experience so comfortable by coming to my apartment, which was so nice. Colette really understood my vision—I wanted to look like myself, not too overdone, but with a touch of soft glam, and she nailed it perfectly. I also had Josie do hair for a few wedding party members, and everyone looked incredible. The atmosphere while getting ready was fun yet wonderfully calm. I was referred to Kristina by my wedding venue's coordinator. I was having a destination wedding at a private estate and she had shot several weddings and shoots there before. Knowing that she knew the venue and seeing her work, I knew she was a top contender. Having great quality photos was hugely important to me, and that was something I wasn't willing to sacrifice quality on. Her style was exactly what I wanted—natural, soft, minimally edited, and not overly posed. However, a good wedding photographer is an investment, so I wanted to meet with her first. Luckily, she lives in the same town as I do, so I didn't have to travel to the destination to meet her.When I joined her for a glass of wine, we instantly clicked and I was immediately a YES. Before my husband would sign on the dotted line, he wanted to meet her as well. We met for a 2nd time, all three of us, and he also loved her right away. Having that connection to a photographer is SO important to make you feel comfortable throughout the event and truly trust them (photos are awkward, right?). The day could not have run more smoothly, thanks in large part to Kristina. She made taking photos fun for everyone and our bridal party also fell in love with her. Aside from being fun and personable, she was professional and kept us on a tight timeline. She also made sure we fit everything in on my wishlist: first look, first look with my dad, bridal party photos, family photos, table photos, dancing, the hora...didn't miss ANYTHING. I'm so in love with my photos from that day and so happy to have those lifelong memories. Since then, she's become a great friend. Anytime I want photos taken for a life event, I will ONLY use her. She's taken family holiday photos, photos of my pups, professional photos for my husband, and I will keep using only her for family photos in the future.

Hugo and Kat did photo and video for my wedding during the pandemic and they were nothing short of amazing! They were so easy to talk to and I didn’t feel like they were “in our faces” with the cameras. Yet, they happened to capture the most intimate of moments. I’ll forever cherish the photo they captured of me and my dad! As an event professional myself, I have to admit it’s hard to find vendors that still have that freshness and fun. Hugo even managed to convince some of my guests to come out onto the dance floor after they were sitting ducks. That showed me that he wasn’t just there to take photos/videos and call it a day, they were there to go above and beyond and make sure me and my guests had a night to remember. :)

The Revery was everything we could've asked for in a venue and MORE. What initially drew us to the Revery was it being modern, yet still warm blank canvas. Compared to other blank canvas venues we saw in LA that were too industrial, too old, or just not our style, the Revery was the best base we could find. For our wedding, we used the upstairs indoor area for our ceremony and dinner, and used the outdoor area for our cocktail hour and mini-festival/dance floor. It was really cool to have the option to create 2 different kind of vibes and styles within the same venue and night. I highly recommend the Revery's bar service, where you can purchase your own alcohol and they provide the mixers service on the day of the wedding. You pretty much can't go wrong on any of The Revery's preferred vendors, we really liked working with everyone. For our wedding, we worked with Gigi from Sincerely Us Events for event coordination, Gray from Moon Jar Design for florals, Kapsule Co for photo & video, Chubby Fingers for catering, Stage labs for lighting, Dart Collective for our DJ, makeup from Beautifully Redeemed, Go Cakes for cake, and Wild House Ink for our lantern wall fabrication. We highly recommend them all! I honestly thought I'd be super stressed out on the day of the wedding, but I was CHILLIN. It is so nice to have vendors you trust, and be able to know that you're in good hands so you can just sit back and enjoy what you've put together. I also want to give a specific shoutout to the Revery owner, Monica, who was a joy to work with and was so accommodating, and answered our many questions very quickly. She did so many things big and small to make sure our wedding was setup for success, which we really appreciate since her experience and high attention to detail was pretty critical for us to plan our own wedding. It really felt like Monica wanted the best for us and our wedding. We'd love to host more events in the Revery some day, but til then, I highly recommend it for your event!

She recommended slight adjustments in the makeup I originally wanted, and at first I wasn’t sure about, but they really made my natural features pop more.

Ebeling Events was an amazing partner for wedding planning and we recommend them to make your event smooth and stress-free. We signed up for a wedding package at Starling Hill (Audubon Center at Debs Park). We worked with Kim as our lead coordinator and also worked with Katie who was the associate lead and our day-of coordinator. It was easy to have a wedding package, so we didn’t have to seek out many separate wedding vendors and read tons of different contracts. We appreciated how the main essential event set-up was all in one place. Saved us so much time and energy working with these true professionals. They offered narrowed down options, which we really appreciated to save us from decision-fatigue, but if we had special upgrade requests, Kim and her team figured them out to allow for customization too. Kim was easy to reach and super helpful to handle any concerns with her many years of planning expertise. Her and her team were also fun to work with and super responsible and professional, so the actual wedding day was extremely low stress. The vendors Ebeling Events arranged for us as a part of our package were all amazing: florist, catering, bartenders, cake, DJ, lighting, rentals, decor, shuttle, and security. Kim was also an incredible resource for connecting us with outside vendors, as we hired our photographer and make-up artist from her list of recommendations and they were stellar, too. The Ebeling Events team is so talented at what they do. We were extremely impressed when watching Kim form the schedule for the day, and her ability to coach and wrangle the families at our rehearsal was legendary, too. We would have been lost and without Kim and her team. Thanks to Kim and Katie!
