Simply Spun began as a passion project during the pandemic when my sister and I wanted to bring delicious, homemade desserts to people’s doorsteps. What started as a creative outlet quickly became my full-time calling after I graduated from San Diego State with a degree in nutrition and food science. Welcome. I opened Cakewalk Desserts in 2010, as a side project after working in interior Design for several years. It turned out to be my passion! I love being in an industry that celebrates love, creativity and DESSERTS. I’ve worked with such brands as: FitBit, Ted Baker, Disney, American Idol, The View, and have been featured in Real Simple, Town & Country, and San Diego Living. Hi, I am Kourtney! I am a self-taught Baker who is passionate about pie. With the help from my husband Rodrigo we have created With Love, From Scratch. In 2011 a friend of mine was getting married. She asked me if I knew of a place in Orange County that baked great pies. After searching around a bit, I could not find a unique pie shop to cater her wedding. That is how With Love, From Scratch came about. Giving Orange County the best pie it deserves.
