First and foremost, congratulations! This is an exciting time! Before I begin with all the details, I would like to do away with the formalities and keep it light. Technically speaking, I’m a photographer, but honestly, since establishing my business in 2014, I would consider myself a teammate through this process. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know couples, their families, their stories, and at the end of the day, becoming a good friend. If this vibes with you, we are off to a good start :) Answering questions, transparency in communication, and prompt responses are important to me and I hope that everything I share resonates.

Justin was an absolute blast to work with. His photos included a perfect balance of posed shots and candid shots. He worked with us to develop a plan and was able to execute that plan while allowing us to go with the flow and enjoy the moments. Justin was my favorite vendor to work with throughout the whole process - very personable and friendly.

Hi, I'm Sophia, a 26-year-old wedding photographer based just outside DC in NoVA. Capturing love stories through my lens is not just a job but a profound joy that I cherish with every wedding I photograph. It's been six years and I've photographed close to 100 weddings which seems unreal! The photography gene runs in my family, my great-grandfather had his own photography studio in Panama and from there, knowledge of photography was passed down through the generations of my family to me. I believe in always having fun and prioritizing an stress-free lifestyle which translates into my photography style — vibrant, authentic, and joyful.

Awarded Best of Zola
We were thrilled with Sophia Osborne Photography for our wedding photos. Sophia was extremely professional in all of our communications leading up to the big day - she was organized, responsive, and helped us feel at ease. On the wedding day, she captured so many beautiful candid moments with her vibrant, creative style. The colors and lighting in both our portraits and reception photos are gorgeous and realistic. We were so excited when we got our sneak peek photos - they perfectly capture the joy and love from our special day. We can't wait to receive the full photo package and relive more memories.

Welcome to Arie T. Photography, a black queer woman-owned and operated traveling portrait and wedding photography service based out of the Georgia and Michigan! I've had the honor of capturing all walks of life across the USA with hopes of taking it worldwide. I'm known for my use of natural light, and "unposed” stress-free approach when it comes to my clients. We had Arie our our engagement shoot photography and will be using her again for our wedding in June 2024! She was amazing and helped us both feel so comfortable during our shoot. Despite rain in the second half of our session she was still able to capture magic! We are looking forward to having her capture all the special moments at our wedding. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Arie!

Hello there! ! I’m Jen Lee, a wedding photographer in Seattle for over 8 years, I consider it an honor and privilege to be entrusted with documenting the most significant chapters in a couple's life. In my early years as a Creative Portrait Director shooting professional models and full editorials, I immersed myself in the world of visual storytelling. Creating these captivating narratives allowed me to move into the real world of weddings. With an innate sense of empathy and a meticulous attention to detail, I strive to create an atmosphere of ease and comfort with my professional knowledge in lighting, posing, and story telling.

Awarded Best of Zola
We recently had the pleasure of working with JLThomas Photography for my wedding, and I cannot express how thrilled I am with her outstanding service. From the moment we hired her to the final delivery of our photos, she demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and an eye for detail that exceeded our expectations. Right from our initial consultation, Jennifer took the time to understand our vision for our wedding day. Her friendly and approachability made us feel at ease, and she was genuinely interested in capturing our unique love story. She was quick to answer any questions we had and provided valuable advice on how to make our photographs even more spectacular. On the day of the wedding, she arrived promptly, well-prepared, and started documenting every single precious moment. She seamlessly blended into the background, capturing candid shots of our families, friends, and every intricate detail. Her ability to capture the emotions, laughter, and joy throughout the day was truly remarkable. What impressed us most about Jennifer was their creativity and the unique perspectives she brought to our wedding photographs. She went above and beyond to find the perfect locations and angles, resulting in breathtaking photos that showcase the beauty of our special day. The composition, lighting, and attention to detail in each shot were flawless. Additionally, the editing process was smooth and efficient. She provided a sneak peek of some edited photos just a few days after the wedding, which only heightened our anticipation for the final collection. When we received the complete gallery, we were blown away. The images were simply stunning, capturing the essence of our love and the magical atmosphere of our wedding day. Throughout our experience with Jennifer, she exemplified professionalism and genuine passion for her craft. Her expertise in wedding photography was evident in every aspect of their work. I’m Mysi (pronounced, boringly, “Missy”)! I’ve been at this thing for 12 years and I keep falling more and more in love with it all. Give me intimate micro-weddings, quirky dive bar weddings, raucous South Asian weddings... my team and I absolutely thrive in chaos and emotion. My specialty is catching the moments and those tiny moments in between. ✨✨✨

Awarded Best of Zola
Mysi was hired as a photographer for a wedding that I planned. She was very professional, kind, personable, warm, and VERY easy to work with - leading up to the special day of the wedding. She didn't need hand holding at all on the busy day and was a vendor I did not have to worry about at all. And I do not say that for every vendor. She was very communicative with me, understood the wedding timeline, and was very flexible (which, from a planner's point of view, is very important, as not all vendors do that)! She's one of my favorite vendors I have ever worked with and I highly recommend! - Trang, Wedding Planner at Weddings By Trang

Gabbie Burseth Photo

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,000
  • Serves Sandy, OR for additional fees

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
Gabbie is the absolute best photographer you could ask for! Gabbie did a beautiful job shooting my brother's wedding and we knew we had to use her for our wedding too. Coordinating a wedding during COVID was a challenge, to say the least, but she handled every postponement and venue change we threw at her with patience and grace. When we finally reached our wedding day, she knew just how to work with an over-stressed bride and groom. She’s very calming and knows exactly how to coach and compose without being overbearing. Gabbie’s greatest strength is her ability to perfectly capture the atmosphere surrounding the event, not just the event itself. Looking through her photos isn’t a reflection, it’s a magnetic pull right back to the happiest day of our lives. We can relive our wedding every time we look at her work. If you’re looking for a photographer that will go above and beyond to accommodate you while creating phenomenal memories of your day, look no further!!

Lindsey Paradiso Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,200
  • Serves Sandy, OR for additional fees

Like most children in the late 90's and early 00's, I grew up with a camera in my hand. I went through polaroids, video cameras, disposable cameras, waterproof cameras, and film cameras; all the cameras! I was so fascinated by photography and the ability to preserve moments. I'm an ENFP, 7w6, and extroverted-introvert who is not only thrilled but humbled to be a witness and historian to the significant moments in your life we are able to share together!

Lindsey is the best decision we made for our wedding. We knew choosing our photographer was important, and while we initially picked her based off her photography style and the art she created for weddings, what we ended up with was so much more. She wrangled our scatter brained families, she kept everyone on track, and she always looked out for US. She was exactly as direct and forceful as our families required, without ruffling any feathers. She was professional, kind, and an over all rockstar. During the ceremony I caught a glimpse of her literally sprinting around with her camera in unforgiving heat. Lindsey gave it her all, for 10 hours straight, just to make sure we had memories of our special day. The day after our wedding Lindsey's name came up multiple time amongst our family and friends, always followed by the words "awesome" "amazing" "incredible". I never want to plan a wedding again, but if I did my first call would be to Lindsey.

Peyton was incredibly professional during both photo shoots we had with her. I decided I wanted to do a boudoir shoot for my husband and was nervous. Peyton made me feel comfortable and excited about the next outfit and poses. For our wedding, Peyton came to the venue early and ensured that everything went smoothly. She scouted areas to make the best pictures. She also made me feel comfortable during the photography portion of the day. One thing to mention and I can’t thank her enough for it: she was flexible with the timing and ensured that we knew it was our day.

My name is Morgan Elise, and I have had a camera in my hand since I was around nine years old. I specialize as a storyteller & documentarian photographer. Nothing brings me more joy than capturing moments you don’t necessarily see… but I do. I am constantly looking for those quiet moments, genuine smiles, laughs, hugs, kisses, etc. I want to tell YOUR story as authentically as I can. My work has heavily been influenced by my intuition and empathic gifts, history, vogue, literature- mostly Jane Austen, and poetry. Before every session, I create a story of poses for each client, carefully curated for each person’s personal story.

Awarded Best of Zola
Amazing does not even cover the experience we had working with Morgan and her energy is just as wonderful as the pictures she takes. She captured our day exactly how we envisioned it being captured. Not only did she deliver us gorgeous photos that tell the story of our wedding perfectly, she was an absolute joy to be around and work with! She had our photos back to us so quickly as well. Highly, HIGHLY recommend Morgan for your wedding photography!

Kathryn Cooper Weddings

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,800
  • Serves Sandy, OR for additional fees

This is delightfully different elopement + wedding photography! From helicopter elopements, to hiking engagements, to weddings with bouncy houses, I capture the adventurous, quirky, and unique. Based in both New York and California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. My creative, fun, and candid photography uses innovative techniques and unique ideas to get photos that make you look twice. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few awesomely unique shots on top of it all.

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot recommend Kathryn enough! First (and most obvious) (and also most important) point is that the photos she took were incredible. She captured our night beautifully. More than that though, she captured how the night felt. The photos weren't overly posy, but rather showed off how much fun and excitement there was for the entire night. I think one of the best things I can say about Kathryn is that she really made a point of figuring out HOW we wanted her to photograph the wedding and delivered. As I wrote above, we wanted the photographs to look great, but mostly just capture how the wedding felt and she delivered on that 100%. Also, as much as she made sure we were leading all the decision making, she really knew her stuff and took things off of our plate where we could. We knew how we wanted the photos to look generally, but neither of us are photographers. So we talked to her about style and vibe and she really took it from there. She was an absolute professional, a great person to work with, and kind and caring. We felt like we were in great hands every step of the way. Truly cannot recommend her enough.

Jonathan Tung Photography

  • Photojournalistic style

No matter who you are or where you came from, everyone has a story, and stories were meant to be told. I tell stories through photography. Weddings are incredibly meaningful and intimate. I’m not just someone with a camera who shows up and takes pictures. I believe in truly connecting and engaging with my clients so I can best understand how I can tell their story. With a bright, clean, and vibrant photography style, I help bring my client’s vision to life through beautiful photos that can be cherished forever.

We were recommended to Jonathan by a friend and we were happy we selected him as our wedding photographer. In our video calls, he took time to get to know us and to learn what was important to us. We didnt want our wedding day to feel like a photo shoot and preferred a journalistic approach. Before the wedding, he provided a very helpful guide to prepare us for the big day. He was prompt in his email communications and we appreciated the attentiveness he gave us. During the wedding, he was good at being inconspicuous while taking photos. For most of the day, we didnt realize he and the second photographer were there! We gave him the nickname “Photo Ninja”! This allowed us to fully be in the moment and enjoy our wedding. Jonathan revealed the finished photos about a month after the wedding. We were very satisfied with them. There was a mix of group photos, journalistic photos of the ceremony/reception, still photos of decorations, and candid photos of the wedding party and guests. He did a great job of capturing the memories from the wedding. Overall, we are very pleased with Jonathans work. He was accommodating and flexible to fit our needs and budget. He was friendly and easy to talk to. We would recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer.

I'm an inclusive photographer, working hard to tell your honest story through photographs. I welcome people from all walks of life. I don't welcome assholes -- bigots be damned. My Philosophy? I believe in capturing the big moments, but the small moments too. I believe in being true to yourself and true to each other. I believe in capturing true emotions, both good and bad. I believe that photographs are keys that can unlock the past after years have gone by, and that looking at the past is how we move towards the future.

Working with Meghan isn't a service--it's an experience. Meghan eschews the cookie-cutter mechanisms of the wedding industry to embrace the individuality and vision of the couple. She walked us through her technique while addressing our wants and needs for the big day. Whether it's a traditional all-out party or intimate elopement, we cannot recommend her enough 3

What hesitations did you have about working with me? I was just nervous to let someone I didn’t know capture my wedding, I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about wedding photographers that are horrible so I was nervous. I was also nervous that I wouldn’t get the amount or style of photos that I was imagining in my head because it’s hard for me to convey my image to someone else. How did I set that hesitation at ease? Your questionaries were so so helpful! They were thorough and had questions of things that I would have never thought of! You were also so flexible when we were shooting and would listen to what I wanted! What did you enjoy most about having me as your photographer? The quality of your photos was incredible and so was your communication, I always felt like I had what I needed and wanted with our shoots! Would you recommend others have their pictures taken by me? Why? Absolutely! You were so flexible with pricing and shoot dates it was amazing! The photos turned out absolutely incredible! I couldn’t ask for anything more!

Kelsey Sheehan Photography was founded in 2019. I made the jump into being a professional photographer to follow my heart and work in a career path that I love! When I am not working you can find me baking with country or 90s/00s R&B blasting, sitting by the fire with my neighbors, doing yoga, kickboxing, jiu jitsu, or hiking with my family. Okay, and maybe binge watching Schitt's Creek, Gilmore Girls, or Grey's Anatomy for the hundredth time.

Kelsey is one of a kind! We were a bit nervous about the engagement photoshoot and many things went wrong that day, but she managed to calm us down and put us in a right mood! She was there for us and made us enjoy the photoshoot so much. We had a blast! And then when we saw the pictures I almost cried-she captured such genuine moments. She is highly professional, friendly, accommodating, and just a fun person to be around. We loved our photoshoot so much that we ended up booking a wedding with her too!
