Choosing Flora as our venue was by far one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We initially had viewed other downtown San Diego locations and just happened to find them and get them on the schedule, and it was absolutely the right decision. Full disclosure up front, they do have a relatively strict contract regarding the rules and regulations of the venue. With that being said, their team was incredibly open and responsive in having conversations about the contract, and personalized it when we identified some very specific circumstances as it related to us. Due to a smaller guest count we were owed money after the wedding, and we received the check in the mail, along with the security deposit, two days after the event had taken place which was a great weight off our shoulders. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The live foliage indoors with the skylights immediately sold us as soon as we entered the building. The floor layout is perfect for small to mid-sized guest counts, with ours seating 80 people perfectly. With the gorgeous tables, chairs, and other décor housed on-site it makes planning rentals and decorations that much easier not needing to deal with outside vendors. The staff could not have been more professional if we had asked. Katherine, Jameson, Erin, and the rest of their team were consistently responsive in the planning and execution of the wedding, constantly providing feedback and information when it was required. We had a handful of elderly/handicapped guests, and Jameson personally went to each and every one of them throughout the night to ensure that if there was anything they needed it would be taken care of. Especially on the day-of the wedding, Jameson was absolutely exceptional along with the bar staff in ensuring that transitions went smoothly and the guests had a great experience. He was always available for a phone call or email, and worked with us directly in problem solving and brainstorming ideas to make our day as special as possible. There have been countless guests who have given us feedback on how great the bar service was, which we could not have been happier with. All-in-all, Flora was an incredible venue to host our special day. We cannot give their team and the location better recommendations for couples looking to have a downtown San Diego wedding.

I cannot stop raving about this venue and the whole event planning team. We had such an amazing experience having out wedding at the Horton Grand Hotel, it makes me want to do it all over again. The venue itself is beautiful and provides a perfect romantic setting for an outdoor wedding. Planning a wedding this year during COVID was nothing short of difficult but Jennifer and the whole event planning staff were so helpful and understanding throughout the whole planning process and really made planning this wedding and keeping our original date so easy. Jennifer constantly kept us updated on the current status of the hotel and was amazing at relaying information related to closures and events to us. She was knowledgeable about the restrictions and helped us plan for a day that was not only perfect in every way but also provided safety to our guests. It was a pleasure having our wedding at such a beautiful location and we were so pleased with how it all turned out and the responsiveness of the staff. There were a number of last minute challenges that made our planning stressful, it was worth every stress and the staff at the Horton Grand Hotel helped us through every set back allowing us to fully enjoy our day. We loved having our wedding reception at the museum! It was a unique venue, bright, and spacious. It’s an experience we (and our guests) still talk about almost 6 years later. It was a stress free wedding as Jenny (venue coordinator) was so easy to work with and very helpful in coordinating with all of our vendors and day of wedding coordinator. The museum has an approved list of vendors, and made suggestions that made the night even more special (like keeping the dinosaur skeleton out during the reception!) The cocktail hour was held on the second level, and the guests were able to walk through the exhibits. The reception was on the first level which was spacious.

From the moment we booked The Thursday Club as our wedding venue, it was stress free. Chris, the venue manager, was a pleasure to work with. Their communication was always prompt and effective, and they were incredibly accommodating to all of our needs. The fact that tables and chairs were already included in the rental fee was a huge bonus and saved us a lot of time and money. On the day of the wedding, I didn't have to worry about a single thing. Our wedding coordinator, Courtney from Breezy Day Weddings, was amazing and worked seamlessly with all of our vendors. I would highly recommend The Thursday Club to any couple looking for a beautiful, stress-free wedding day.

Rose Creek Cottage 1900 was the perfect venue for our wedding day. The staff was very responsive and timely in all of their communication, which helped make the planning process stress-free. The church, reception hall, and grounds were all beautifully maintained and provided a wonderful setting for our celebration. Our wedding planner, Liztiza, was incredible and took care of all the details, allowing my husband and I to just enjoy the day. I would get married here every day! We don't live too far away so we love driving by and reminiscing about the best day of our lives. They were very communicative and super easy to plan with. Considering this is in La Jolla, the price was also very affordable and they had a great list of vendors that they recommend. I wouldn't have changed a thing about our wedding day and very happy with the venue. We had the ceremony in the garden area, cocktail hour outside on the patio, and the reception indoors. It was early April so we were happy to have both options inside or outside, with last minute changes if necessary, as we weren't sure if it was going to be raining.

I got the chance to work at this wonderful venue and could not have asked for a better support team. Not only is the venue stunning, but also the venue staff, coordinators, planning team and photo/video team were so beyond helpful and supportive leading up to the event and on the day of. We did not use The Knott to find this venue but we had such an amazing experience we had to share. The venue itself, the first thing you see is a modern foodhall / full bar with a large variety of restaurants. If youre staying at the hotel connected, it was such a great place to hangout with your bridal parties before everything starts. Moving along to the even areas, the ceremony room gives off a modern barn yard style venue and it's such a pleasant contrast from what you initially see when first walking in which really adds to the "wow" factor when entering the room. The cocktail hour area is amazing as well and after we gifted some of our items, they will now have Cornhole and a beer cart available! The area itself is wide open with great seating areas as well. The reception is another instance where the contrast is such a difference from the food hall downstairs, it once again adds so much to that jsw drop reaction. We were approached multiple times complementing how "cool" this venue was and it was definitely a true compliment. Now the venue wouldn't be anywhere with out the staff and I can not say enough great things about them. The entire time was courteous, professional and really give they sense that they want to make sure you have your special day as one to remember. Specifically wanted to shout out our amazing coordinator - Brianna, banquet captain - Lee j and Dj - Rhy's. These three went above and beyond for us and it seemed like that was just their normal demeanor. Brianna made sure we had nothing to worry about and made every part of the planning process a breeze. Lee J was also always checking in appropriately often to ensure we were never left wanting, thirsty or hungry. Rhy's was also great to work with, we had a very specific request with music which ended up having my wife and I take part in a lightsaber fight to two different versions of starwars music - Duel of the Fates, and he handled it masterfully. All in all, 10/10 can not recommend enough.

Oakwood Creek was built in the 1930s by WW Wood and his wife Leanora. Wood drove a truck that hauled dairy milk from the outlying ranches into the town of Julian. Later on, Wood would operate B&L Liquor on the main street. The remains of W's garage are still very apparent on the property today, along with his goat shed & stables. We have one of the last intact water towers in the historic district. The property has been preserved to reflect the period in which it was built. This beautiful venue sits atop a picturesque knoll overlooking the historic town of Julian. Sherry Horton, owner of Oakwood Creek Celebrations, offers signature style that everyone—no matter their affair—will find "oh so easy". The Oakwood Creek Celebrations staff were a joy to work with! I am so grateful that the staff customized a great package for our wedding day, with very short notice. Our Officiant Rev Hannah Wilder, performed a beautiful ceremony by the koi pond. The location is gorgeous, and the staff made us feel as if we were family. Every detail of our wedding was beautifully done, making the entire experience amazing and completely stress free. A million thanks to our wedding coordinator Sherry, who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and even took photos for us, since we didn't have a photographer. Our wedding was better than anything I dreamed of!
