Khariza and her assistant did a 10/10 job! From the very beginning, their communication was clear, easy, and simple, making the process extremely smooth. The quality of her work is incredible - their photos are sharp, classic, and super classy. Khariza did a great job of making us feel comfortable and confident throughout both photo shoots, and she expertly directed our family members during the City Hall shoot to ensure we got all the right shots, even when other people at City Hall were in the way. We are thrilled with the final results and couldn't be happier with our photographer choice! We recommend Khariza for all your photography needs!

Our day with Dani was like a dream come true. When my fiancé proposed in the breathtaking Lake Garda, I was completely swept off my feet. Dani’s talent shone through in every shot—each photo was a stunning capture of our joy and the beauty of the day. I found myself in tears looking through them, so perfectly did they convey our emotions. Dani had this incredible knack for giving just the right amount of direction while letting everything feel so natural and candid. It was amazing how she made us feel at ease, despite the excitement, and her presence made the whole experience flow effortlessly. Dani's warmth and skill turned what could have been a whirlwind day into a series of perfectly captured moments. Sarah Peterson Photography

5.0

San Francisco, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,888

I'm a Bay Area native with over 12 years in the commercial photography realm. I got my start on the beaches of Los Angeles back in 2012 shooting commercial swimwear campaigns for some of the best designers in swim and fashion. That opened the door to countless opportunities with modeling agencies, reality television, and fashion design. In 2018 I made the move back up north to San Francisco where I grew up. With a wide network of friends and family up here, I found myself catapulted into the Wedding and Elopement industry - and absolutely loved it! I'm honored when I get to be a part of one of the best days of a couple's life together.

Awarded Best of Zola
You should stop scrolling through photographers because I'm here to tell you, Sarah is the one. She is extremely professional, talented, compassionate, creative, and can make absolutely every one of her clients feel understood and comfortable. She flew out to Washington to take our engagement photos at the Olympic National Park and the entire day was one of my favorite memories. Not to mention she sent me sneak peeks of the photos within a couple of hours - incredible editing skills and extremely fast service. I'm going to cherish these photos forever and we are SO excited to have her as our wedding photographer in June. Thank you for everything, Sarah!

Annalee Photography

San Francisco, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,500

You deserve to look back on your wedding photos and remember how the day felt — all of your nerves, your laughter, and, of course, your overwhelming joy. Together, we'll tell your story how you want it told, striking a balance between creating gorgeous moments with documentary-style gentle observation.

Annalee was wonderful to work with. From the initial conversation to the actual day. She had great communication and it was also awesome to see her portfolio grow while we were waiting for our own special day. Annalee was super professional and sweet to work with. She handled all the chaos of our wedding very well and I super appreciate that she was able to take control of getting the shots when things were confusing and overwhelming. It was actually really nice to be directed when theres so much going on! In regards to her work, she has an excellent eye for framing and beautiful color grading. Her vibes come off as someone who really cares about their craft, as well as you, the client! We got our photos back about a month after and feel that literally every shot is perfect. There's a fantastic mix of behind the scenes, candids, staged etc. Our photos just feel very authentic and personal. These photos really help us relive the day (best day ever!) Please hire Annalee, shes absolutely worth it. We'd love to work with her again should the occasion arise!

Photoflood Studio

5.0

San Francisco, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000

Courtney & Jackson are wedding, elopement & family photographers based in San Francisco, California but available for travel worldwide. We go wherever love takes you. Photoflood Studio is a wife + husband team from San Francisco, California. We are wedding photographers servicing NorCal to SoCal and beyond. Photoflood Studio specializes in wedding, engagement, and family photography. We aim to photograph life + love through an honest documentary approach. Our wedding, engagement and family photography is inspired by the beautiful wilderness, the culture of our coastal cities, and wherever you call home.

Whether you decide to have a big or small wedding, finding the perfect photographer is an essential detail. We stumbled across Courtney’s portfolio and fell in love with her story telling, but soon discovered that we loved working with her even more! Our initial meeting felt so comfortable, and her energy makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. Not only did she ask what we envisioned for the day, but she helped us create a timeline, directed us on the city hall wedding process, and even compiled a whole email with other resources for hair/makeup and florists. My husband and I never take professional photos, so we don’t know how to pose elegantly, but Courtney’s direction, words, and vibe made the experience extremely fun and care-free. Our families loved her, and my relatives could not stop raving about her afterwards. I think one of the most important aspects of a photographer is to make their clients feel confident and comfortable, and to allow their emotions to organically shine - and Courtney does this perfectly. We can’t wait to work with her again in the future for our future milestones :)

Jazmín Solano Photography

San Francisco, CA
  • Photojournalistic style

Artistic storytelling for the fun, kind and adventurous. Hi friend! :) I'm your neighborhood artist, goofy empath, & lover of dogs and human beans. (Name is pronounced Hasmeen, kinda like jalapeño) My goal is to be a source of joy and vulnerability in your life while helping you feel grounded on your big day and ~even more~ grateful for the life you live and the love you choose.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jazmin was such an amazing photographer during our wedding. She went above and beyond SO many times, it blew me away. From agreeing to do our engagement photoshoot on a stormy cold, rainy day, to bringing specialized unique props for us to use. She continued to blow me away with her dedication to being exceptional and so friendly, sweet, and easygoing. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and the photos were exceptional. She advertises herself as your BFF, and it really feels like it. You can tell she cares about her clients. On our wedding day, she also excelled, and we have beautiful photos, as well as film, and we just finalized our photo album with pictures from our engagement shoot as well as wedding. Jazmin included special shots I asked for such as a group photo, and artsy shots with bubbles in the forest. She was our favorite vendor hands down. They say the photographer should be one of the few vendors you splurge on, and we are SO happy we did. It was 100% worth every penny and more. I will recommend her to any of my friends getting married in the future.

Oklahoma raised, Princeton educated, and founder of Portrait of a Young Couple, documenting how couples of all backgrounds and identities across the world live and love. I'd love to be a part of helping to capture you and your partner's love.

We worked with Vincent for our wedding in February of 2021. We scheduled our wedding with him several months beforehand. Leading up to the day, he had checked in several times to see how our plans had been coming, evolving, and what our expectations were the day of. He is incredibly personable, professional, and talented. We didn't ask for a lot of specific shots and the few we did ask for came out way better than we could have possibly imagined. Vincent took beautiful photos of us, our family, and our friends. For our camera-shy friends, he kept laughing with us, creating an atmosphere of joy and stress-free photography! He was quick to ensure that all of us being photographed were comfortable. Since our wedding, we have recommended him to literally every person who lets us know that they're engaged. We really can't say enough about Vincent and his work! The best we can say is that we highly recommend working with him- he is a truly amazing human and photographer!

Images by Misti Layne

San Francisco, CA

  • Starts at $4,500

Storytelling photography that brings your story to life. There is a story to everything right? There is certainly one to your wedding and even to a portrait session. The in-between moments can be the best moments! Images tell a story and they are there for me to find. This isn’t one image. It is a series of images that provoke emotion and thought. This happens with trust and openness and I know I can only get this if you trust me and I am open enough for you to do that. When there is this intimacy, I can get to the heart of the images and that is when the storytelling photography happens.

As a photographer of life, love and beauty, Tara Arrowood does what she loves every day. She captures beauty in all things- people, animals, and spaces. Her main goal? It’s simply to make people happy. She uses her lens to show inner beauty, authentic emotions, and life’s precious/fleeting moments. Making people happy means giving them a different perspective, a different angle from which to see their most cherished moments in life. Tara offers photography and cinematography services for any sized wedding. Tell her your plans and she’ll create a schedule that includes everything to tell your story!

Awarded Best of Zola
Tara was amazing from beginning to end. We absolutely loved her photography style when we first came across her as a preferred vendor of our wedding venue (Beltane Ranch), but knew that we also needed to love HER if we were to spend the majority of our special day with her by our side. Luckily, from the moment we had our first chat with Tara, we knew she'd be perfect for us. Our engagement photo shoot at the Sutro Baths in San Francisco was the perfect way to get to know Tara's style and she helped us bring our vision to life in the shoot. Once we got to the wedding day, we completely trusted Tara to nail it - and, boy, did she deliver! She was SO efficient and organized. It was certainly a huge benefit that she knew our venue, but I am certain she would have been just as impressive in any environment. One of the best aspects of hiring Tara, ultimately, is her art. Her photography is truly a work of art. She has an incredible eye and managed to make two very awkward gals (my wife and I) feel incredibly comfortable behind the camera. We are just enamored with the photos she took and will cherish them for a lifetime. The cherry on top of all of it was that she turned around our photos within 1 week of the wedding! We received the digital album during our honeymoon and it was so fun to reminisce while still celebrating. Thank you for everything, Tara!

For some unknown reason I have loved weddings since I was a kid. That’s the first thing. But then… I got married. And that is indescribable. So… if you happen to be here because you have met someone special, and you are making moves, CONGRATULATIONS! You really are in for the ride of a lifetime. So… my first photos? Yup. They were from a wedding! Unfortunately they took the human knee as their subject because I was short, because I was five years old. One auspicious day I brought a camera to a friends’ wedding. I partied. I had a fabulous time. Afterwards they told me I should have said something, my photos were better than the hired pro.

We hired Paul for our San Francisco wedding and it was easily one of the best decisions we made. In addition to beautifully (and creatively) capturing the energy and excitement of the day, Paul was also an absolutely pleasure to work with at ever step of the way. Our wedding was in San Francisco this past August and had approximately 65 people in attendance. To say that we had high expectations for our wedding photographer was an understatement: we wanted someone who would be able to capture the dynamic energy and emotion of our big day in a natural, joyful way. I am happy to say that Paul exceeded all of our expectations and then some. We initially reached out to Paul in February through his website and we scheduled an introductory phone call. At that time I was chatting with a few different photographers in the Bay Area but was impressed at Paul's thoughtful questions regarding our vision of big day as well as the logistical considerations (venue locations, lighting , size, etc). From our first meeting at his lovely home, Paul was kind, thoughtful, considerate which made us feel like we were in good hands and helped put us at ease during the craziness of the planning. He asked us to consider which moments would be most important to our wedding and helped us think through the logistics of the day. Paul was also helpful in planning some of the big day itself: we had scheduled a city tour with our guests to occur between the ceremony and reception but were unsure where to go in the city. He recommended locations that would be both enjoyable for our guests and would make good backdrops for photos. In addition to the city tour, the day itself had a lot of moving parts which could have been really challenging to photograph (indoor ceremony in City Hall, outdoor brass band parade in full sunlight, indoor reception with low lighting in small antique store). Paul and his second shooter were well prepared and able to shot gorgeous photos in every location. Paul was also very mindful of which moments would be most meaningful to us. For example, we had mentioned that we specifically wanted lots of dancing photos from the reception and so Paul made sure a remote flash lighting system was set up in the reception venue which made for some fantastic dance floor shots. We had also said that we wanted to make sure we had a lot of candid photos of our friends of family and so Paul made sure to mingle among our guests, putting them at ease and getting natural, candid photos of our loved ones. After the wedding, Paul was able to send us our sneak peaks only after 24 hours (!) and the full gallery a short time after that. At this point, I was already very impressed but what happened after that really blew me away: Paul emailed me a few weeks after the wedding to me to ask if he could photograph some details from the wedding that he wasn't able to get on the big day (handkerchiefs from the brass band parade, wedding invitations, etc). He told me that he felt that those details were important in telling the story of our wedding and he wanted to make sure they were captured. I realize that it would've been easy for Paul to simply send the photos he already had but the fact that he found it was important to capture all the small details really speaks to his thoughtfulness, professionalism and excellence. We can't thank you enough, Paul!

I highly recommend this company to take photos at your wedding! We loved our photographer Percy. He was incredible, and so helpful. He came with several cameras and valued all of our ideas, and when we became stumped he offered ideas for us to try as well. He was very professional, kind, caring, and always on top of the game taking photos. Towards the end of our night he started to put the camera away and brought it back out to catch a few final moments. He was on top of responding to all questions before, during, and after. He took photos of me and my husband before the ceremony and got some wonderful shots (it was a 95 outside wedding so this was much appreciated because we all had some sweat on our faces). But before we got Percy and our booking process with eivans it was super simple, and just an overall great experience.

Hi, I'm Sophia, a 27-year-old wedding photographer based just outside DC in NoVA. Capturing love stories through my lens is not just a job but a profound joy that I cherish with every wedding I photograph. It's been six years and I've photographed close to 100 weddings which seems unreal! The photography gene runs in my family, my great-grandfather had his own photography studio in Panama and from there, knowledge of photography was passed down through the generations of my family to me. I believe in always having fun and prioritizing an stress-free lifestyle which translates into my photography style — vibrant, authentic, and joyful.

Justin McCallum Photography

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Awarded Best of Zola
I should begin this review with the fact that I am a very self conscious person—I rarely like looking at photos of myself and the photos I enjoy taking are goofy ones where I can lean into my more unique qualities. So when it came time to choose who would capture our wedding day (and our engagement photos before that!) I knew I needed someone I could trust and who could make me feel comfortable. I’m so thankful that Justin McCallum is out in the world providing that exact service. Not only does Justin have a truly unique eye capturing traditionally beautiful photographs but he can see beyond the traditional as well and find angles you never knew existed! All of our staged photos came out perfectly, but my favorites from the day were the candids he captured where he just allowed us to be ourselves enjoying the day—those photos were where the true magic was found. Me taking in all my loved ones at the reception. A high five between my now husband and I before entering dinner. My best friend wiping away some happy tears. There are too many specific snapshots to mention that I treasure as much as the day itself. In terms of personality and professionalism there’s no one like Justin: he has a way of making you feel at ease and sensing when you’re feeling self conscious or sensitive and knowing how to bring you back to Earth. He can make you laugh naturally, asks questions that refocus and recenter yourself and is just amazingly kind and considerate to everyone around you. There’s no barking orders from Justin—he keeps his cool under the most stressful of circumstances and just felt like one of the gang on the day. I can’t count how many of my friends and family came to me after the wedding and told me “Justin was AMAZING” because he made us ALL feel special and beautiful. One of my favorite moments of the day was as the sun had almost set Justin ran up to us and said “I need to borrow you!” and he took us outside to where the sky was an indescribable shade of red and orange and took a gorgeous silhouette of my husband and I before he lost the light. It’s maybe my favorite photo ever taken. So please, if you’re looking for a wedding photographer don’t just take my word for it, take the word of everyone who was present at our wedding who felt just as blessed to be documented by an artist as talented and a soul as kind as Justin McCallum.

Once I seen the wedding pictures…I knew who was going to be my photographer. My day was beautiful. Thalia captured the most special moments on my day. She went above and beyond! My bridal party and guest really enjoyed Thalia. My photos are unbelievable, they are stunning! I’m extremely happy that Thalia was our wedding photographer.

I'm a CA based and travel wedding photographer. I've photographed almost 200 weddings, and every single one goes by so quickly. I love my job because even though the day goes by fast, I get to find and capture those small moments, sometimes just a fraction of a second long, so they can be relived over and over in photographs. I have a photojournalistic and editorial style, plus 9 years of wedding experience under my belt, so trust me that I've got it while you are able to fully enjoy your day and be present.

This has taken me a little while to get to writing as after wedding day life has been a little chaotic but wanted to express praise where it was well deserved. Holly exceeded my husband and I's expectations as our photographer on our wedding day. Not only was she extremely professional, but she was kind, personable and very helpful. The photos ended up coming out GORGEOUS! We just could not be happier with her and are definitely going to be recommending her to anyone seeking a photographer.

Our experience with Xenia and Mark (videographer) was truly amazing. Xenia is truly a dedicated professional and her camera work is truly phenomenal. We booked Xenia for both our engagement and wedding photos and she completely exceeded my expectations! We originally booked Xenia and Mark for our wedding in May but unfortunately our wedding venue closed last minute and we were left to scramble in finding a new venue and once we did Xenia was so accommodating and made the new wedding date work. Xenia and Mark are super easy to work with; truly genuine individuals! I scoured through hundreds of photographers before I came across Xenia and honestly, none of them compared to her work and eye for photography. Stop your search and book her; I promise you won't regret it. Thank you, Xenia and Mark!

No matter who you are or where you came from, everyone has a story, and stories were meant to be told. I tell stories through photography. Weddings are incredibly meaningful and intimate. I’m not just someone with a camera who shows up and takes pictures. I believe in truly connecting and engaging with my clients so I can best understand how I can tell their story. With a bright, clean, and vibrant photography style, I help bring my client’s vision to life through beautiful photos that can be cherished forever.

Jonathan is an amazing photographer who clearly shows his dedication and talent, and puts great care into his work! We were very fortunate to have found him shortly after our engagement in October 2023. His photography style and bold colors aligned with what we were looking for. Not only were we drawn to his work, but we loved his fun personality, his professionalism, and his kindness of wanting to know us! Jonathan asked about our story, got to know us as individuals and as a couple, and made sure to tell our story through our photos. He even went overtime to help us with our timeline! He made us feel so comfortable in front of the lens and calmed us when we felt we were not on schedule on the day of the wedding. We love our engagement photos and wedding photos. Highly recommend Jonathan as your photographer! We can’t thank him enough!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Justina as our wedding photographer, and she exceeded all of our expectations! Just looking at her work, we knew she was the one. From our first meeting, it was clear that Justina possesses incredible talent and a true passion for her craft. Her ability to capture the essence of every moment is unmatched. Throughout the planning process, Justina was exceptional in her communication. She took the time to understand our vision, preferences, and any specific shots we wanted. Her responsiveness and professionalism made us feel confident and relaxed, knowing we were in great hands. On our wedding day, Justina went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. This is delightfully different elopement + wedding photography! From helicopter elopements and lakeside wedding bashes to hiking engagements to weddings with bouncy houses, I capture the adventurous, quirky, and unique. Based in both New York + California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. My creative, fun, & candid photography uses innovative techniques and unique ideas to get photos that make you look twice. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few unique shots on top of it all.

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot recommend Kathryn enough! First (and most obvious) (and also most important) point is that the photos she took were incredible. She captured our night beautifully. More than that though, she captured how the night felt. The photos weren't overly posy, but rather showed off how much fun and excitement there was for the entire night. I think one of the best things I can say about Kathryn is that she really made a point of figuring out HOW we wanted her to photograph the wedding and delivered. As I wrote above, we wanted the photographs to look great, but mostly just capture how the wedding felt and she delivered on that 100%. Also, as much as she made sure we were leading all the decision making, she really knew her stuff and took things off of our plate where we could. We knew how we wanted the photos to look generally, but neither of us are photographers. So we talked to her about style and vibe and she really took it from there. She was an absolute professional, a great person to work with, and kind and caring. We felt like we were in great hands every step of the way. Truly cannot recommend her enough.

My name is Thomas Seabury I am a wedding photographer of 9 years, over the past 3 years shooting just over 100 weddings per year. Each wedding I take on the roll of coordinator, photographer, and personal assistant keeping the entire day running smoothly and keeping the stress of the day as far from the bride and groom as possible. I would love to be a huge part of your entire process from overall planning to execution of the day! In the off chance you're booking at a Northern CA Wedgewood venue, I have hundreds of hours of experience at each of their venues and work very closely with the everyone of the staff at Wedgewood.

Awarded Best of Zola
My wedding was in May and the weather surprised us by dumping buckets of rain during the ceremony. Thomas was so helpful with all of his direction and suggestions for the ceremony. He was able to keep his cool and roll with the punches on our very crazy day. Our Photos are absolutely stunning! I honestly can't say enough good things about him. He took so many photos and his editing is wonderful. He also did our engagement photos all the way in Yosemite. He not only drove 3 hours one way for the engagement shoot but also drove an obscene amount of hours for our wedding. He put in so much work and I can't thank him enough.

I believe love is love and happily photograph couples of all backgrounds, orientations, religions and gender expressions. I aim to create authentic and emotive images for my clients and edit true to color so the work will be timeless. My personality is friendly and warm, which helps make my couples feel at ease and open up in front of the camera. I donate $100 from every wedding day package to a non profit organization (either the ACLU, End the Backlog or the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation) because I believe paying it forward in honor of love is an excellent first step into marriage.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jenna was recommended to us by another photographer and it was such a pleasure to work with her! We greatly appreciated how much she wanted to know us and our personalities in advance of our wedding day. We ended every zoom call or email exchange feeling confident in our decision to work with her. The weather on our wedding day wasn’t very cooperative, but Jenna and team were on the lookout for any break in the rain so that we could go up to the roof and get a few pictures. And she totally nailed them—they are some of our favorite pictures from the day. Jenna and team made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and also captured some incredible candids. If you’re looking for a fun, positive, and easy-to-work with photographer—Jenna is the right pick!

Jess Onesto (formerly Cheers Babe Photo)

Jess is a wedding photographer serving couples from Los Angeles to New York City. She specializes in documenting moments with honesty and optimism to showcase her couples’ love for each other, love for their people and their love for a damn good time. “My work is bold, enduring, and honest.” With more than a decade of experience as a photographer and a background in fine art and film photography, Jess approaches each wedding with intention and a sense of novelty. She works in both digital and film mediums and her work has been featured in publications including Martha Stewart Weddings, Destination I Do and Brides.

Awarded Best of Zola
Since receiving our wedding photos from Jess, several of my friends and family members (including 2 professional photographers!) have asked me for her contact info because of how amazing her photos are!! When we started looking for a wedding photographer, we knew that we needed to find someone with a great eye for candids, who wouldn't make our pictures feel too staged, who had a fun/funky vibe like us, and who could handle wrangling my extremely large family (full of very opinionated people) for family photos, and Jess handled everything with ease! I feel so lucky that we found Jess, and I cannot recommend her more. Jess made everyone feel comfortable throughout the entire wedding day, and even gave guidance to family members who are normally awkward in photos (e.g. suggesting ways to pose to make them more comfortable). Jess went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process, checking in with us, getting to know us, and even coming to a venue walkthrough so she could get a sense of the space! I am so grateful for all of the work Jess put into our wedding, and the photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I rarely even like photos of myself, but I honestly am so in love with the ones that Jess took that I jump on every opportunity to whip out my phone and share them with friends!

Bedrosian Photo was an excellent choice for our wedding photographer. Peter arrived early and stayed an hour late, and his communication was perfect throughout the process. I love his editing style, with plenty of posed and candid moments captured beautifully. He was not controlling at all, and made sure we took all the important photos we wanted while letting us enjoy our wedding day.
