Located at the heart of the University of Utah campus, the new Alumni House is a perfect venue for your wedding. With our 5800 sq. foot ballroom and several other event spaces, we can accommodate large or small wedding dinners, luncheons, receptions and ceremonies. We want to celebrate life’s greatest moments with you and provide you space for lasting memories. Our experienced, and friendly staff is available to make your special day one to remember.

The area which now comprises Memory Grove Park was set aside as a city park in 1902. The park however, remained unimproved until the 1920s when the women of the Salt Lake chapter of the Service Star Legion asked the city to designate the park as a memorial honoring America's soldiers and spearheaded the planting of trees and placement of monuments in the park. Memorial House was constructed around 1890 as a stable and equipment storage shed for contractor Patrick J. Moran. When Salt Lake City acquired the park area in 1902, the city's water department used the building as their barn, tool shed, and blacksmith shop as it was located directly across from the city's water intake structure on City Creek. In 1926, Salt Lake City leased the building to the Service Star Legion which planned to use it for veteran's activities and they renovated it to become an events center, there have been weddings held at Memorial House ever since. Now operated by Preservation Utah.

Our beautiful historic Chase Mill, built in 1852, is the perfect venue with an adjacent lawn, patio, and amphitheater creating a unique space for any event. Your guests will be able to explore all 8 acres of the aviary and to make the event, even more, memorable you can request a bird visitor! You'll be able to get close to one of our birds, take photos, and speak to a keeper.
