Eagles Nest Reserve is a family-run vineyard and winery focusing on dry farming, no-till, herbicide-free agriculture to produce un-fined and unfiltered, low intervention wine. Lake Lawrence Community was once called “Edwards Pavilion” was established in 1923 by Louie Armstrong and Amber Reichel. All logs to build the lodge were felled from off the lake property itself and the fireplace was erected by Frank Noreen from Deschutes Falls. It took about one year to completed the building. This became an extension of Edwards Resort, a fishing a recreational getaway, here on Lake Lawrence. Afterwards many dances were held in the building. In 1973 the over 50-year-old resort closed, and the camping era came to an end. The resort property is now enjoyed by many private property homeowners. The playground, swimming area, and Edwards Pavilion became part of the Lake Lawrence Community Club, which still maintains these facilities for the benefit of their members. The lodge is also available to the community at large for all types of events to include weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, family reunions, and any other event.

This venue is on a farm that has been in our family for five generations. We are a new venue, but we love this special place so much and wanted to share its beauty with others. The ceremony space is beneath the canopy of an old-growth spruce tree beside a creek. We were married in this spot and it was truly magical! There is an open-air field just beyond the tree that is available as a reception space. We offer a bridal dressing room within a 10'x10' decorated "glamping" tent. We also have the add-on option of a 15'x20' event tent available (please see pictures in the gallery). If you're interested, we also have goats, pigs, chickens, and old farm implements available for photo opportunities. We only host weddings between Memorial Day and Labor Day each year. We also now provide string lights and electricity (suitable for a food truck) in the reception field!

This site was first developed by Philip Foster in 1847, as a resting place on the Oregon Trail. It still has four original Foster buildings (two moved onto the site), including a large hay barn, granary, and two houses. One house has been restored to its 1860 condition. We welcome all kinds of weddings, but are most appreciated by those who love Oregon History, and those who want to bring horses to the wedding. There are many options for how to use our site, and we are happy to help you create your dream event. Although parking is limited to about 50 cars, there is plenty of space for people.
