We started Blend after falling in love at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Upon graduating, we trekked across the country to work tireless hours under envelope-pushing chefs in Napa Valley and San Francisco. We are happy to now call the Greater Reno-Tahoe area our home, as this region is brimming with culinary possibilities and evolving in exciting ways.

The Big Blue Q of Tahoe strives to make every event we cater unique, relaxed and fun with a variety of food choices to choose from. We know that planning an event can be very stressful and we do everything in our power to make our guests enjoy themselves and look good!

I had my first shot at managing a sushi restaurant when I took over an empty section of the family restaurant and introduced sushi to my customers. It was a challenge that I will never regret accepting. It was fun, a lot of fun! I had the opportunity to work with some really talented and creative chefs. I quickly learned that it’s not just about having fresh fish anymore. Sushi dining has transformed into a culture. A culture built by imagination and creativity. With the help of GD and the support of my family, I took all that experience and fused it with my imagination and created Yooshi Sushi Catering and Event Production.
