Engelbrecht Farm sits on 8 acres and is located in the heart of farming country. A very unique structural features of the barn is the opening to allow guests to be seated to two levels and both levels can look at the head table for a gallery type feel. The other unique feature is its size. It is the largest actual barn (not modern structure that looks like a barn) within multiple states at 4500 square feet. Adjacent to the barn is the old 4000 square foot feedlot with flower garden and iron pergola. Late in the day makes for a great spot for outdoor games. With the barn comes the recently restored, three bedroom farmhouse originally constructed in the 1890’s. One amazing aspect for the wedding package is it’s a standard three day booking. Families arrive on Friday and check out on Sunday. This gives them time to relax and take the whole experience in. Plus the time is spent making their wedding their own. The Venue at Maison du Lac opened in 2018 on a former llama farm. The historic Stone House that hosts the wedding suite was built in the 1840s, and gives rustic charm and elegant glamour for every couple to start their day in style. Anheuser-Busch Biergarten has indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate all event types. The German-inspired Biergarten provides a relaxing atmosphere to dine and socialize after exchanging vows. The urban style outdoor Biergarten has a updated tented roof and heating equipment to keep loved ones cozy and comfortable no matter the weather. The Outdoor Biergarten can hold up to 280 guests. Anheuser-Busch Biergarten has everything a couple might need for the special occasion. Our in house wedding coordinator handles the day of coordinating as well as additional vendor requests. Construction on the Lake Springfield Postal Club began in the early 1940s. Post office employees donated over 50,000 hours on weekends, evenings and days off to complete the building. A team of horses and a sliding bucket were used to dig out the basement. The Postal Club officially opened in 1948. The total construction cost was approximately $15,000. In 2005, there were only two of the original Postal Club members left. In 2000 the Postal Club merged with the Springfield Firefighters Local 37. In 2001 the firefighters burned down the original Postal Club to make way for a new building. The new club was completed in 2002. The total construction cost was $3.6 million. The clubhouse is surrounded by 5 acres of woods, with boathouses, docks, beaches, parking lot, sidewalks, bandstand, and much more.
