When Andrew and Kathy were photojournalist their thief was story telling. As they got married and started a family, the focus shifted to their children and the couple used their creativity to tell a new story – first steps, trips to the park, birthdays. Soon, Andrew and Kathy began helping other couples tell their own stories, of engagements and weddings, babies and anniversaries. Those stories built the foundation of Yellow House Images. Today, Yellow House remains a family-run business but the family has grown.

I moved to New York City from a small town in Pennsylvania when I was 18 years old to study fine art and photography at Parsons School of Design. After college I was awarded a Fulbright grant to spend a year and a half photographing life on the Greek island of Kythera. When I returned to New York I decided to start a wedding photography business that would incorporate my fine art background with a photojournalistic style of shooting, and FOTOVOLIDA was born.
