The Barns at Edgemont Inn consists of a 4400-square-foot custom-built event barn which, together with the historic Edgemont Inn and on-site lodging, sits on 20 acres of verdant hillside in the scenic Champlain Valley. The Pruyn House is the Cultural and Historical Center for the Town of Colonie. We have a five and 1/2 acre property, including the House, the Buhrmaster Barn, the Verdoy Schoolhouse and several other buildings. We provide access to the Barn for the reception, the garden for the ceremony, the birch grove for the cocktail hour and dressing areas in the Pruyn House and the Verdoy Schoolhouse. Tables and chairs are included. All else must be provided through rental services and catering. We have one security person who will be on site throughout your event. All else provided by caterer or rental service.

When you decide to celebrate your wedding with us, you will have a 823-acre property, 25 acre private lake, 20 miles of private hiking and biking trails, the athletic fields and all camp buildings exclusively available to you and your guests, you also have the beauty and majesty of the Adirondack Park surrounding you. The Altamont Manor, a gracious 1894 restored Victorian manor, offers the perfect setting for your wedding. A private, secluded location with formal gardens, spacious landscaped surroundings, and a spacious dining room with floor to ceiling windows providing beautiful views, all make for an enchanted wedding. Over our many years here, we've restored both the building and it's surroundings. From rebuilding the hundred foot long wrap-around porch, reclaiming long abandoned gardens and planting new ones, we've created a private secluded setting available to share with you all of life's celebrations.

The West Mountain Inn was originally built as a farmhouse in 1809. From 1880 to 1920, first a gristmill and then a lumber mill were operated on the Battenkill River at the foot of the mountain. In 1904 Ned and Gwendolyn Rochester purchased the 150 acre farm and began to transform it into an elegant summer estate. After a succession of other residents the estate later became an arts and retreat center.

Our historic, nineteenth-century, recently renovated barn is surrounded by natural beauty with picturesque rolling green pastures grazed by Angus cows and Border Leceister sheep, as well as hay fields, and crop and cut flower fields. Our stately barn sits at the top of a hill overlooking the Vloman Kill. Our family has farmed this land in Albany County, NY for over two hundred years and we would like to share this beautiful property with you for your special day.
