We started our Ranch in 2008 with just cattle. We built our house here in 2011 and in 2012 our son and daughter in law decided to have their wedding here. After that we had a lot of people asking to have a wedding or an event here, so we decided to build our Barn to share our beautiful property for weddings, receptions, parties, fundraiser or special event.

Originally built as a citrus barn in the late 70’s, our rustic and elegantly charming event venue comfortably seats 200 guests. A canopy of mossy oaks surrounds the outdoor ceremony site with market lights strung to create a romantic glow. A paved walkway leads to your happily ever after where vows are exchanged in front of our wooden gazebo. In the air-conditioned reception room, guests will enjoy comfortable seating under our lofty ceiling where draping and twinkle lights create a delightful starry sky atmosphere. The A&H’s Maitland Art Center, originally known as the Research Studio, was founded in 1937 by visionary artist and architect J. André Smith. The center was originally a winter artist’s colony, dedicated to fostering an exploratory approach to modern art. The hundreds of original sculptural elements that adorn the structures were hand-carved by André Smith and his associates, and the center remains one of the few surviving examples of Mayan Revival architecture in the southeastern United States.

Hardeman has been influenced by his love of travel in many of his designs, and the Secret Garden is no exception. Each of the areas in the Garden has an exotic, but natural feel, balancing risk and modern appeal in an expert fashion. The Secret Garden also features an educational garden, earning the distinction as an Agri-Tourism location in Florida.The Secret Garden is the culmination of Hardeman’s life and work.
