The Farm at 95 offically opened it's doors in October of 2013 and to this day is one of the two largest venues in Johnston County (oh, our sister location is the other larges venue)! Our space can accommodate anywhere from 80 to 400 guests, with separate rooms for food, dedicated dressing rooms, a well equipped stage and a relaxing patio heaters, fans and a gas fire pit. When you inquire, you will also receive information about our sister location, The Farm at 42, which we opened in March of 2018. This venue is similar to The Farm at 95, but has simple improvements such as larger dressing suites, upgraded finishes and a completely different ceremony setting. Sugarneck is rumored to have gotten its name by the bootleggers traveling along the Cape Fear River as a code word for the place where they would pick up their moonshine. Sugarneck reaches back long before smartphones and social media, back to a time when the only way to send a message was by writing a letter and sending it in the mail. One of the earliest U.S. Post Offices in North Carolina still stands strong today. It was a community where people gathered, shared news and good times. Built in 1874, the renovated original Cabin structure serves as a unique visual reminder of those simpler times. The Cabin and the Post Office are on the National Register of Historic Places. The vast scenic views of the North Carolina countryside along with the grandness of our 150 year old Oak trees do not go unnoticed, and at night, the stars light up the sky. There is a covered porch that leads to a large flagstone patio with a white fireplace, this is a great space for rehearsal dinners or just an extension of the reception space. The bridal suite is in a separate building adjacent to the venue. Recently built in 2023, with nearly 800 sq feet you and your wedding party will have a comfortable space to enjoy the day. Finally, there is an open air chapel that can seat 200 guests comfortably. It has beautiful cathedral style windows in the front and back of the chapel and open arches on the sides. This chapel will make a great rain back up option for your wedding day or if you love it as much as we do, it can be a beautiful plan A option as well.
