“What a dream Emilee was to work with, from start to finish. OUR CEREMONY PARTY: we decided on a private, courthouse elopement on a Wednesday, a 60 person reception party on a Friday. In both, our biggest priority was having a photographer capture the intimate, joyful small details. We went with Emilee because of her eye for the beauty in the small things. She captured both our days perfectly. DOCUMENTARY STYLE: Emilee was perfect behind the scenes, capturing beautiful moments of our friends and family, small details of the courthouse with just us. I look back at some of these photos and ask "how did she even get that?!" She has such an eye. POSED: We had about 20 minutes dedicated to posed, family photos during our reception. Emilee had our families relaxed and laughing, quickly swapping members in and out. In some newlywed photos, we sought her advice for how to pose. She gave quick direction, made us feel confident, and always found the perfect light. COMMUNICATION SPEED: Delivered on every promise, quick replies. Emilee was 15 minutes early to both locations, we never had to worry. PERSONALLY: We met with Emilee about 4 months before our big days. “Tyson and Sam at Skinny Boy Media were one of my favorite vendors at my wedding. It is so so hard to choose a DJ because you've been to other weddings and had trauma from terrible DJ's that play the same old songs that are awful. Or they don't announce things at the right time or just don't communicate. This was my fear. I was recommended Skinny Boy Media from my photographer in Cincy. Then I noticed he was in Cleveland and I am located in South Central Ohio (where there are no good DJ's). I was so nervous that I was going to have a massive upcharge due to travelling 4.5 hours. I reached out and got a quote from him and discussed the type of wedding I wanted with the music and flow of things. He communicated amazing right from the start and was transparent in pricing and had no problem whatsoever travelling to Southern Ohio/Northern KY. Whew! Then I dragged my feet because this is a large decision. The website of DJ's are hard to tell what they are like. It's not like you can go to a wedding they are at and see if you like it, haha! But then as I looked on a Facebook group of Ohio Bride's to Be I noticed his name kept getting referenced. Which was a good hint. Then I talked to him further about uplighting and Photobooth services for the night. I kept delaying again... Then he reached out to me again telling me someone else wanted my date (July 8) if I didn't want it. That sealed the deal and I paid the deposit online. My husband and I completed a detailed form he provided on Google Docs to say what songs we wanted during what time. And what songs we did not want! We had a video chat with him describing ourselves, the vibe we wanted for our wedding, etc. We are 28yrs and wanted a middle school dance party vibe. I also didn't want songs switched every other minute, but transitioned nicely with reading the crowd. I also asked for some Disney songs during dinner. Man did he deliver!!! It was a party!! And he politely communicated with me during the night, asking if I was ready to begin the dances, the speeches, let dinner tables go to the buffet, etc. We also added a game from 4H camp called Bring-Me and he had it organized on his iPad, let my sister run the game on the mic, etc. The photo booth also sent photos to each person and I got a google drive link to all of them. I chose the Ivy wall with props. I did not choose to have a glow light in the photo background, but that is an option. The 30 uplights literally pulled everything together in the long room! (70ft x 30ft). He was on time, stayed till the end as expected. He also helped create a super special memory for my husband and I that I didn't even plan for! At the end (11:30pm) he had everyone go outside or towards the end of the building and he played "At Last" with just my husband and I. It was so perfect to end the night. If you made it this far...I hope I've convinced you to HIRE SKINNY BOY MEDIA!!! He will communicate like you want, provide a clear contract, provide uplights & a photo booth, travel to your venue without complications, keep things running smooth and does a great job!!”

“When my husband and I started our journey to plan our wedding, I knew we were going to need some help. We are non traditional, with very eclectic tastes, and we were going to need someone special to help us pull off all of our insane ideas. I extensively researched over 20 coordinators, had a phones calls with 5 different companies, but ultimately I knew Ashley from Rose Event Co. was going to be the one. From the start she personable, intelligent, and made me feel understood in what our vision was for our special day. Throughout the process she was punctual with all of our appointments, gave helpful suggestions, and made me feel confident leaving my type A personality and needs in her hands. The weekend of the wedding came, and a lot of creative problem solving as well. We rented a private mansion for our event and did the rehearsal the day before. Ashley was there early, having already communicated with my other vendors and the venue to make sure we would be prepared for our big day. What we didn't expect was the kitchen under construction, furniture and decor that had not been moved at our previous requests(but promised), rooms that we had planned for, but could no longer use, and the Venue staff not "remembering" months worth of text and phone call conversations about our needs and expectations, as well as their promises and what they were supposed to deliver. There were other issues, but I digress. Ashley immediately stepped in with ideas and to be the go between with the Venue, and to help troubleshoot the long list of problems that had now come up. The night before was stressful for my Husband and I, not knowing if we were going pull this off, but I knew with Ashley, we were in good hands. The day of she brought her A game, a stunning red dress, and handled business. She was not afraid to get involved and make sure everything we wanted happened. She listened to our needs, knew when to step up or step down, was super flexible in our timeline and made sure to handle any issues that arose during the wedding. Her ability to read a situation and adapt to the issues at hand made her the perfect fit to our crazy ideas. She has incredible creative problem solving and is kind hearted and hard working. If it wasn't for Ashley, we could not have pulled off our day. I would recommend her 10x's over, to any bride that wants an absolute badass by their side. She handles business, and gives confidence to her clients. Thank you Ashley and Rose Event Co. for turning what could have been a disaster into a day dream!”

He met with us multiple times prior to the event to go over music selection, flow of the ceremony day etc. His website was very easy to use and allowed us to have a large role in our music selection for the day, even for the reception dance portion. Everything was reviewed at least 3 times to ensure there were no hiccups, and also to make sure we wouldn't have to worry about anything on the ceremony day. On the day, Lou came in very early to setup and his equipment was extremely unobtrusive and sounded amazing. From the ceremony to reception (and especially cocktail hour), the sound was fantastic and there was not a single hiccup (even with an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour!). His flow through the reception was so smooth - and as a former college radio DJ, his music choice to fill in the gaps between the 'must plays' we sent him were impeccable!!! If you have a big heart for music and want it to be the backbone of any great party while having one of the most professional guys out there - Lou is 100% your guy. Thanks again Lou!!!!”
