I worked with LNF for over a year to plan my dream wedding. We knew we wanted to go a little unconventional from the standard type of venue and let me say it PAID OFF. From the planning perspective: I want to give all my kudos to Brianna from the events team for everything she did! She was in constant communication with me about everything from food selections to reception layout and was so kind throughout the entire process. She helped me feel empowered with the decisions we were making and helped with monthly touch bases to go over details to weekly once we got close to the wedding. She made sure I had everything I needed and helped make our vision come to life! From the venue/event perspective: Our guests are still raving about this wedding two weeks out. The family style entrees gave everyone more than enough food that was delicious and the bar staff was getting into the party with us as much as we were! Everyone was attended to in a timely manner and the entire staff played a huge role in making the night so welcoming and engaging. The layout worked perfectly for our group, too. The garden transformed into our dance floor that easily fit all of our guests together and the rooftop served as such a unique and beautiful setting for our ceremony. I truthfully don’t have enough positive things to say about the staff and the venue. Not to mention that the pricing for our event was all inclusive (bar, food, venue, DJ, decor, etc.) which made it super easy to keep track of everything and was also WAY more affordable than other venues within the area. Thank you, LNF, for the best experience I could’ve asked for going into my big day!

It was amazing working with Dan and Dana! We have been going to the restaurant for many years and have always loved the atmosphere, quality of food and the service. The staff is always so polite. This was the first time we booked a major event with them. We were so impressed with their professionalism and expertise. Dana, the coordinator, assured me to not stress over details because that was her job and she totally delivered on that promise. Dan is the owner and he actually married us in a really beautiful ceremony. We were all so pleased with how things turned out that my mom even booked her 60th birthday there 6 weeks after our wedding. We cannot say enough good things about the Public Landing!

Melissa was our primary contact leading up to the wedding, and communication was always prompt. Our questions were answered quickly and effectively. On our wedding day, The Drake staff was very helpful and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly. The Grand Oaks Pavillion was one of the most beautiful reception spaces I have seen. The staff’s attention and care from the first consult to the final day was exceptional. Jason made sure everything was on time and perfect. The food was fantastic. Everyone had a great time. We hosted our small 35-person wedding reception at RLM Studio and it turned out to be the perfect space for our celebration. We wanted a more casual wedding and pinstripes was perfect for that. The weather was perfect so we were able to have our ceremony outside on the patio and that area was perfect for the pictures! We had bowling during cocktail hour which our guests loved. The food was incredible and they did a great job managing our cake, decor, and everything we dropped off. The whole staff was so easy to work with and all of the meetings went so smooth.

We were drawn to Colvin House because of the mansion's historic details, but believe it truly shines when paired with the talents of Pyrite Sun, their in-house planning, catering, rentals, and floral team. We met with Sarah (Colvin's Events Manager/Owner of Pyrite Sun) to tour the space and ended up hiring Pyrite Sun for our entire wedding at Colvin House. Not only was it convenient to have everything under one roof, but we had a personalized wedding experience like no other–complete with vintage furniture, plates, and coupes, the most incredible floral from Colvin's gardens, and a customized food menu that our guests still rave about. I also love that Sarah recommends great vendors they've worked with and happily coordinates whatever you need with any other vendors you'd like to hire, as well. Overall, an incredibly special experience you won't find anywhere else. Thank you, Colvin House and Pyrite Sun, for making our vintage glamour wedding dreams come true!

We are SO glad we chose Firehouse Chicago for our wedding in Sept 2024. It was truly the most beautiful, special day, and so much more than we ever imagined. The Firehouse was the perfect backdrop for our day. We chose to rent the upstairs room to get ready morning of, took all of our pictures onsite, had our ceremony in the garden, and dinner/reception in the engine room. The gorgeous greenery, subway tiles, natural light, and overall gorgeous aesthetic was perfect for us to relax and enjoy our day, and was truly picturesque from every angle for photos. Their attention to detail in curating this beautiful space is truly remarkable. Beyond its idyllic setting, one of the biggest perks of Firehouse Chicago, is the staff, and the wedding coordination that is included (you don't need to hire a separate day-of or month-of coordinator for this venue!). We got the pleasure of working closely with Teddy and Sarah and we really appreciated their calm reassuring demeanor throughout the wedding planning process, and their delicate touch knowing how important this day was for us and know overwhelming wedding planning can be. They truly helped take some of the stress and worry out of the planning process from start to finish. They ensured every little detail went off without a hitch from start to finish. They were so helpful in initial planning, month-of coordinating, day-of execution, and responding to all of my questions along the way. The rest of the Firehouse Staff was incredible day-of, and made sure everything ran smoothly. They kept us to our timeline, checked in with us frequently throughout the day, calmed my nerves as I waited to walk down the aisle, helped hype us up and build our confidence for our fire pole entrance, and even ensured we had some quiet time to ourselves after the ceremony to let things sink in and enjoy our moment. If I could do my wedding over again I would do it over and over again at the Barn at Cottonwood. We opted for the Giant Slide, Tractor Ride, Photobooth, Bonfire. In Lieu of a wedding cake, we did pumpkin pie and apple cider donuts provided by the venue. It was beautiful and means a lot to me that this was a family-owned operation. On the day of event, we had several attendants there for us for both the giant slide and tractor ride. Overall, it was a great experience, and I am very happy.

She had a list of questions to help with the planning process, helped us understand their packages and make adjustments as we needed, and answered all of my emails with random thoughts. The venue set everything up for us and took a huge chunk of our to do list off of our plate! Jen and Martin were fantastic as well at our rehearsal dinner and wedding day making sure everything went off without a hitch. My wedding planning experience with Uptown was phenomenal. If you have the pleasure of working alongside Jeremy and Judy, they are there to support and manage decisions with you every step of the way, helping you feel like you are in control of your vision while they help guide what all they can do for you to make it happen. Both professional and empathetic to your needs and vision, we felt like a dreamy team to put the day together from the start. (We had our reception here only, so it was great to not have the stress of a room flip.) Would recommend you ask them for local recommendations, as we used just about every recommendation they had; florist, cake, driving service, and local accommodations for our bridal party and our guests. Every single recommendation was amazing to work with, with professionalism and the touch of warmth from a small town that we personally loved, all thanks to Uptown. Michigan City is the cutest Lake town with surprisingly a lot of food, drinks, and nature to explore. This was a semi-destination wedding for us and our guests as we are from Chicago and most other family from Ohio or farther. So a lot of guests took advantage of having an extended weekend to explore the National Park, Lake, and Winery in the area. So if that is something you think your guests would like to take advantage of, it was definitely a winning aspect leading up to the day. We got to mingle with guests prior to the wedding so it didn't feel like a complete rush of saying hello to all of our guests on Saturday. The venue is spectacular, perfect for a modern church vibe turned into a booming party space; we ended up clearing our head table from the stage to have more room for fun and dancing! The sound system is awesome, so one less thing for a DJ to have to bring. Lighting in the ball room is customisable which we had a lot of fun working with Jeremy on to change the mood for each part of the night. All other areas of the venue are simple, elegant, and give the space for guests to mix and mingle without being stuck in one area of your wedding (bar lounge, courtyard, front patio, and balcony areas). I would like to highly recommend the Abbington Distinctive Banquets. We held both our ceremony and reception at this venue and was very pleased! We selected this venue based on its elegance (I absolutely loved the north ball room which features oversized windows allowing beautiful natural lighting, oversized chandeliers, and neutral color tones blending that blended well with our color palette. We also loved the fact that they have an option to host the ceremony in a separate room from the reception which was an absolute must for me, I am very particular and a little hard to deal with at times due to my over attention to detail and wanting every single detail preplanned and perfectly executed. Tara my venue coordinator was very accommodating to my "type A" personality :) She was very patient with me no matter how many times I contacted her, or regardless of how many times I stopped by the venue to run through things or do mock set ups, and was always just a email/ phone call away throughout the entire planning process. Leading up to the wedding one thing that I had not thought about prior to booking this venue is that we wanted a traditional soul food cuisine and the venue does not offer outside catering. Tara went above and beyond to meet my needs by helping us put together a custom menu using items from their various banquet menus. She also allowed us to request extra seasonings and provide details on how to turn their traditional menu Mac and cheese to "southern style baked Mac and cheese to give the food the southern flare we desired. The chef did an amazing job of executing it and the food was delicious and an absolute hit! My family (including the great aunties and grandparents) whom are tuff food critics were very pleased! We had absolutely NO complaints with anything related to the venue on our big day and would like to thank the staff at the Abbington Distinctive Banquets for being top tier! Everything was perfect!!!

Started off our experience with the amazing Jill. She did everything just right and went beyond our expectations. When looking for a venue it can be very over whelming. Jill took that away from us right away. She explained everything to us in detail and broke it down. We then had the pleasure of working with the amazing Javi. He makes an excellent addition to Jills team. When I say this man was on top of everything I am not over exaggerating. He texted and called, and kept us on to date on everything. The day of the wedding and rehearsal Javi took top tier care of us and we will forever be grateful for the Bolingbrook Golf Club team for making our day extra special.
