I have been a photographer for 8 years. Throughout my time as a photographer I’ve captured clothing, models, and memories. I shifted from corporate shootings to families and weddings because it gave me this warm fuzzy feeling when I edited my couples and families photos. Don’t be afraid to reach out to me and ask about my photography style, my editing style, or my favorite restaurant! I highly recommend scheduling a free consulting session!

Grace and was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding! Grace was very thorough and communicated with everyone from venue staff to the DJ to choreograph and capture everything. I fell in love with Grace's whimsical and wispy style of photography - she made sure to include everyone in the shots. Grace was punctual and went straight to capturing our final moments of getting ready, and she gave us time to socialize and enjoy our guests. I loved her creativity and willingness to take unique shots. I would definitely recommend her for any couple's day!

For as long as I can remember I have always loved to create. My passion for photography started when I was a teen. As I honed in on my craft I began to photograph on a more professional level right out of high school, but stepped away for academic pursuits. After completing both a bachelors and master's degree in Anthropology, I came full circle, determining that a career in doing something creative was where my heart lies. Whether it is your wedding, or any other special moment in your life, I cherish the opportunity to document it in a way that highlights the artistic elements, while still capturing an authenticness that is uniquely you.

Alyssa and her husband were an efficient, friendly, and reliable team who captured all the special moments from our big day. Their communication style made planning easy, and they worked seamlessly in the background on our wedding day to get fantastic shots without ever being intrusive. The quality of Alyssa's work is excellent - the photos are timeless, classic, and thorough in documenting our wedding from start to finish. We absolutely loved having Alyssa there and can't recommend her highly enough! Her photography style results in gorgeous, meaningful images that we will treasure forever. We're so grateful we chose Alyssa Marie Photography to document our special day.

Hey there! We are David & Kirstin Hebert, a husband and wife team who are living our dream. Being behind the camera gives us a feeling that no other career can. We have been sharing life for 20 years and now share the fun with two amazing kidos, Evan and Adriana. What more could we ask for? Life is good! We love life. We love family. We love friendships. We love adventure. We love people. We love animals. We love travel. We love cameras. We love food. We love nature. We love smiles. We love LOVE! And we love capturing all of it! We are super laid-back and will make sure that your experience in these special days is our number one priority!

We absolutely loved working with DK Hebert! We first met them when taking our engagement photos. They met us for a couple of drinks first to get to know us and learn what our expectations were and then we started the shoot. Kirstin was great at directing at us and making us feel at ease in front of the camera and David had a lot of creative ideas so that our shoot didn’t come out looking too cookie cutter or posed. We were looking for photographers in Louisiana who knew how to take photos of brown skin and edit it as well without making us look too orange or making our skin appear lighter. We were amazed with the photos that came back. It looked like a work of art. We shot for almost four hours with an outfit change and David and Kirstin basically took photos the entire time as we walked around downtown Baton Rouge and the state Capitol grounds— so we had a ton to choose from. Seeing our engagement photos really helped us trust them and be excited for our wedding photos. They turned out better than we could imagine. We no longer live in Louisiana but want to use their services again in the future and will travel to do so! I recommend them to any newly engaged couple or family who wants to update their photo albums. We also got a few sneak peeks back within a couple of days after our wedding and the entire album was sent to us about a month or so after. Kirstin would also send me her favorites as they were editing. The constant communication was wonderful. 10/10 recommend!

April Garon Photography

5.0

  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $2,700
  • Serves Monroe, LA

I’ve been a photographer for over 15 years. My journey started at Mississippi School of the Arts where I first saw the magic of a photo develop in a darkroom! I have a bachelor's degree in Photojournalism from Southern Miss and worked as a professional marketing photographer for 6 years before moving on full-time to wedding photography. That important step has proven fruitful as my passion for capturing real moments has been fulfilled by capturing the magic of loving couples. Now after 2 years of booking my calendar up and meeting with beautiful people from all over the southeast, I can reliably say my expertise is serving a higher purpose.

April was so easy to work with! My wife and I had a short engagement so we had to find vendors fast. April was super accommodating and able to work with us through all the steps of engagement and the wedding. She’s professional, timely, understanding, and incredibly friendly. I would recommend her without reservation!

Hi! I'm Taylor a Georgia based Wedding photographer, mommy, and cheesecake lover. Obsessed with: Family, Naps, and good books. I’ve been keeping it real since 1997. Throughout my 8 years in business, I have been lucky enough to photograph over 200 weddings throughout Georgia and the other southern states.

Taylor did an amazing job photographing our wedding! She was easy to talk to & work with. She really did make the whole process smooth for us (we all know it’s already a crazy day)! We plan to continue to use Taylor for our family photos because well she’s just that good & easy to work with! Our whole family loves her! You won’t regret your choice!

I believe in the amazing blessing of God giving us people in our lives to stand beside us long after the aisle. When the big day comes to a storybook end, you will leave your beautifully decorated ceremony and reception with your forever partner...and your pictures.  All of that planning and preparation is preserved in your images, so you'll want them to be high quality, elegant and authentic so that you can enjoy reminiscing over them for anniversaries to come.

Brandy is Beyond what you could ask for from a photographer! I visited a wedding fair which had no shortage of photographers to choose from. And let me tell you I spent the most time at Brandy’s booth than any other vendor. She has a wonderful personality, makes you feel beyond comfortable, she replies almost instantly when I message her. And the shoot - WOW stunning! I cannot wait to see the wedding photos with how amazing our engagement photos came out. She is very upfront with her pricing and doesn’t try to push more than what is needed. I’m having a smaller wedding and rather than trying to book have me book her for more hours she said which package she was confident she’d get all the shots without starting to repeat shots. My engagement shoot was absolutely wonderful and the time flew by with Brandy’s guidance my finance and myself didn’t even notice how much time had passed. Nothing looked staged - when we looked through our gallery we felt like supermodels!! Which is saying a lot for us!! Brandy suggested the locations we could do shoots at which is wonderful if you’re like me and really just can’t decide or have a clue of what would look good, she picked a perfect spot that was so us - our dogs even got to participate in the shoot and she was patient, even when our one lab only wanted to swim Brandy got their attention with her own sound effects and we got several shots with the silly pup pups! I can honestly say Brandy is not just a photographer to us, she is an extension of our growing family! Why not have her document the beginning of our marriage and the rest of our lives is what my fiancé and I found ourselves talking about. So very thankful to have found Brandy! 10/10 would recommend!!! Run don’t walk as they say, towards booking Brandy!

Silvia Gilbert Photography

I am a caffeine addict who never sleeps. I love a good thunderstorm and playing Candy Crush for the brain breaks. I adore all kinds of dogs, but I have a special love for German Shepherds. My all-time favorite thing is to sit by the fire with a glass of good cabernet or watch the ocean waves hit the beach. I love to garden and to build things (but I let my husband to finish all my projects LOL). I enjoy good food and will likely refer to a stand up comedy routine at least once in a conversation. I am also a football mom, lacrosse mom and basketball mom. Wife to a very understanding husband and emotional support person for my big puppies.

I’ve worked several weddings with Silvia and she has been nothing short of amazing! Nothing thrown at her would take the smile away! Nothing is a big deal and everything has a solution!

It was very important to me to have a wedding with a vintage look, and A.R. knew exactly what we wanted. He shot our wedding on a mix of digital and film and had tons of advice on how to style the lighting so that we could have a classic look. He was really polite and super easy going.

A Charleston Wedding Photographer with a fierce love for storytelling, fostering memories and capturing those moments that you will want to treasure forever. I get to tell your story. And, I think that’s pretty cool. I love traveling everywhere and anywhere, talking with my hands, buying plants (and attempting to keep them alive), and spending as much time as I can with my loved ones. I have lived in Boston, Paris, and New York City, and am now lucky enough to call Charleston home, while also still traveling the world for my clients. You can usually find me on my back porch in downtown Charleston, right next to my favorite little park.

tldr: Jessica is amazing and I don’t think you can go wrong with her if this is the style of photos you like I had a lot of difficulty picking a photographer as I’m pretty picky with photos. I knew I wanted something bright and light, with kind of a whimsical or ethereal vibe, but it was really hard finding the style until I came across the “fine art” style. Jessica’s name came up while researching this style and I decided to reach out to her among a few other fine art photographers. I definitely hoped talks would go well with Jessica as the others I contacted ended up either not responding or were wildly out of my budget. Pre-Planning: Jessica was wonderful throughout this process. She promptly responded to my emails and answered questions clearly. I never felt like I was left in the dark for any part of the process. When I sent her the timeline of the ceremony/reception, she quickly came up with a timeline to slot in all the photos to be taken ahead of time at the location (We had access to the venue for a little over an hour prior to the ceremony). She also asked for a list of family photos that we wanted to take. This made it very easy at the wedding as she could call out people’s name to make sure everyone that was supposed to be in the pictures, were in the pictures. Jessica also sent over a list of ideas for detail shots and explained she could do this ahead of time. We didn’t want extra pictures of these and decided against it, however, I still thought it was very thoughtful of her to offer. Wedding Day: I loved her energy at the wedding. She was very calm and felt very competent. She directed my husband and I throughout the pictures, showing us poses etc. During family and wedding party photos, even though we had many bodies to fit in the frame in quite a few pictures, she led us through them with ease and the entire experience was very stress free (or as stress free as can be at a wedding lol). The venue was quite dim at specific locations, but the final results did not reflect that at all. The pictures were bright and did not look like they were taken in the dark at all. (This is a little off topic but I loved the little apron with pockets she wore for her equipment. So cute) I’m not sure when Jessica had the time, but there were pictures around the venue which were so beautiful. I definitely feel like the day was captured through the pictures. Post Wedding: Jessica sent us a sneak peak 2 days after the wedding containing 23 pictures. They turned out great and were beautiful. You can see examples on her website so I won’t elaborate, but they really are that good. The full gallery was sent almost a month after the wedding (minus 2 days) with instructions on purchasing prints or an album attached. The full download contained 650ish files, including the sneak peek pictures. Half of which were black and white, so this matched up pretty perfectly with Jessica’s estimation of the amount of photos when we spoke in the pre-planning stage.
