Hi there, my name is Caleb but most people call me Cook. I spent almost 13 years in the southeast filming weddings, events, corporate gigs and commercials. I moved to California in 2012 and pursued a different career. A couple years ago I decided to get back into event videography and started Cook Captures. When shooting events I have a very hands off candid style. I love to capture people naturally having fun, enjoying the day and creating memories. Every event I film is unique and each film ends up with it’s own story and narrative that fit the couple, venue, guests and overall vibe of your wedding.

We are over the moon with the work of Cook Captures! Caleb has a remarkable talent for capturing the essence of our special day. The attention to detail in every frame was beautiful and the video we received a was nothing short of magical. Our wedding day was a whirlwind of emotions (and windchill), and Caleb managed to encapsulate those precious moments, creating a visual story that tells the story of our love. The turnaround time for our video was impressive, and the presentation was beyond our wildest dreams. Each moment was thoughtfully edited, and the music selection perfectly complemented the spirit of the day. Caleb turned our wedding day into a cinematic experience we will cherish forever. We cannot express enough gratitude to Caleb for his dedication to preserving the magic of our special day. If you are seeking a videographer who goes above and beyond, Caleb is the one! We wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a talented, professional, and personable videographer. Thank you, Caleb and Cook Captures, for your exceptional work! Highly recommend!

My name is Ben. I am a LA-based Wedding Filmmaker who runs on emotion-driven films that tell the story of you as a couple. The wedding day for sure! - But lets be honest, the wedding day is only whatit is because of who you are together before and after the day is done. Let's get some of that. That's the stuff that lasts longer than a few years after your wedding. The stuff your kids will pull out and watch.

Awarded Best of Zola
Ben's work speaks for itself. He captures beautiful stories and presents them in a way you never thought possible. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll find yourself saying things like "Dang, we look so good!" - because you'll feel like movie stars. And while you'll feel like Hollywood royalty, you won't have to worry about the paparazzi cramping your style - Ben's subtle and intuitive work flow captures all the important moments without ruining the vibe. He's easy to get along with, he knows what he's doing, and his films allow you to revisit your special day as often as you'd like. TL;DR Felt like movie stars, everything looked amazing, book Ben: A fun, creative & artistic professional.

The Shalom Imaginative are EXCELLENT photographers for any event or occasion! From the start, Nate and his team made my fiancé and I feel we were in good hands for our wedding day. They are friendly, professional and answered all our questions quickly throughout the process. Our photographer for the day was Igor. He was fun to have around and also delivered amazing photos in a big way! We were so happy with how our photos turned out that we bought two photo albums afterwards (one for us and one to gift to my mother in law). We are so happy we went with the Shalom Imaginative for our big day and highly recommend them to anyone in need of photographers!

It was wonderful getting to work with Kristiann! She was easy to get in touch with and clearly communicated her services. Motel Cinema

Fueled by nostalgic recalling we aim to create a film that is timeless and authentic. Motel Cinema is based out of San Diego, Ca and our approach to weddings is inspired by the untraditional travelers before us, who hit the road in search of adventure into the unknown. We don't like boxes and we don't want wedding films that fit into one. If that tickles your fancy let's get weird.

Awarded Best of Zola
One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was to hire Motel Cinema! As an entertainment marketer, specifically for documentaries, how our wedding would be documented was top of mind for me and I met with quite a few videographers. Brandon completely exceeded my expectations with the moments he caught on film, the editing, the music, the vibe. I really felt like he saw us and reflected it all back to us in the most special way which we will cherish for the rest of our lives. He was an absolute joy to work with through the entire process- easy to communicate with and quick, but also a relaxed energy that fit seamlessly into our wedding weekend. I cannot recommend Motel Cinema enough and I’m so so grateful that we were connected.

Daniel went above and beyond with our wedding video. Any time we watch it, immediately our emotions of the day come back to us. He did a wonderful job of capturing our day exactly how it was, as well as making it even more magical and dreamy than we remember! Working with him was a delight, the whole day he encouraged and lifted us up. We were SO comfortable spending our day with him by our side! If you’re on the fence with booking Daniel: DO IT! When you trust us to capture those real and honest moments, you end up with photos & video about your love that transcend time.

When my fiancé and I were searching for wedding vendors, Hereafter Films stuck out to us. I immediately looked at their Instagram feed and their website and I was in awe of the quality of their work. You can clearly see how much love they pour into their brand and every video I watched made me feel all sorts of emotions. We met up with Sharayah and Ryan (pre-pandemic) to get to know them and we were so impressed with how in sync they are. They genuinely want to know your vibe, your relationship, and what you want captured on your wedding day. We wanted our video to feel genuine and intentional, not posed and stiff. It wasn't until I saw our wedding video that I extremely appreciated the time they took listening to our needs because they checked every. single. box. They captured every raw emotion we felt and so many small details we didn't see day of because everything moved so fast. Sharayah and Ryan were so easy to work with day of, they made sure we felt relaxed and unposed! They were everywhere but simultaneously they weren't in the way. We were so impressed with how well they worked with our photographers as well, they made an amazing team! We'll cherish our highlight and heirloom videos for years to come. We'll be watching them over and over again reliving the best day of our lives.

Better Half Wedding Video

5.0

  • Documentary style
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Mission Hills, CA for additional fees

Better 1/2 started in 2011 in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2019, I relocated to Chicago. I've filmed about 30 weddings for couples with a range of venues and guest counts. What's consistent is my style, which is personal and beautiful. I tell each couple's wedding story in a tailor-cut video, highlighting the big moments and spotlighting the small ones.

As a wedding photographer, working with videographers often makes my job more difficult. In my experience, most videographers try to create moments by having people do things they would never normally do. They are often an obstacle for photographers to work around. Sometimes multiple videographers are working to get all the angles and they end up creating something of a spectacle of an event when folks are just trying to be natural and enjoy themselves. I had a hard time recommending videographers to my wedding couples... until I met Jenn. Jenn from Better Half Wedding Videography is the exception. She is an incredibly nice person, super respectful of people's time and space. She brings a calming presence to weddings and eases people's nervousness. Jenn is upfront, honest, and discreet. Her work is fun and natural. I am so bummed that she no longer lives in California. When people ask about videographers, I still recommend her. She is the best!

Hi, I'm Joey. Raised along the North Coast with an adventurous disposition, I am a documentary-style filmmaker inspired by love and nature. My experience with film and video began in high school and quickly became a passion. On weekends I found myself covering friends engagements and family weddings, and found it to be a creative and fulfilling experience. Because of my professional background, I approach wedding videography with an eye for visual and creative storytelling.

Relive The Day Films

5.0

  • Documentary style
  • Starts at $1,999
  • Serves Mission Hills, CA

The story of Relive the Day Films all started in the small coastal town Riomaggiore, Italy. Jordan was solo traveling and met a beautiful girl named Kinsey. They shared a sunset over the water and the rest was history. Kinsey encouraged Jordan to pursue what he loved, And he loved the film. So he quit his desk job in insurance and pursued a career in capturing the happiest moments in people's lives; wedding videography.

Booking a videographer was a must for us. We came across a highlight film Relive the Day made for another couple and were instantly captivated. The visuals and music matched perfectly. Jordan and team have a beautiful way of capturing your big day. We went with the highlight film and documentary edit and we can’t recommend them enough. They live up to the name. You truly get to relive your wedding day through the documentary. Above all, Jordan is friendly and patient. Any question we had, he was quick to answer. It’s a gift to have your big day captured so well and to get to see it in film forever. A big plus was how incredibly professional and kind Jordan and team are. Every moment, feeling, and loved one, for you to always look back on. Booking Relive the Day Films was the best decision, we can’t recommend them enough!!

Fervent Creative

  • Serves Mission Hills, CA for additional fees

Here at Fervent we believe in passionately capturing your wedding in a real and raw way. Our films are well described as "organic" and we're best at candidly capturing those beautiful moments you're likely to forget.

Working with both Cori and Michael was a dream! We found them after scouring Instagram accounts and seeing what videographer friends and our venue used in the past. We loved how customizable their packages were and found that they were within our budget. We ended up going with a highlight video and opted to purchase all the footage (bc knowing me, I’ll want to remember every little detail). Both Cori and Michael were on top of communication and so incredibly professional throughout the entire process. Come wedding day, Michael came out as our videographer and was the most sweet and nice guy! He worked so well and was in sync with our photographer and was there shooting all of the moments both big and small! We received our highlight video a little over a month after our wedding and are SO IN LOVE with what they created! I can’t stop watching it over and over and our friends and fam keep reaching out saying how beautiful it came out! They matched our music choice so gracefully with the footage and injected so many memorable moments, while also injecting moments of creativity (which were fun surprises)! We will be receiving the rest of our footage soon, and we’re so excited for that as well! I promise you, you won’t regret hiring Fervent Creative! If you’re looking for a sign to hire a videographer, THIS IS IT!
