My passion for the piano began at the age of 6, when I realized I could play by ear (which means playing without the use of sheet music.) One night, my dad was tucking me in and a song was playing on the radio. I told him I had a feeling I could figure out the song, went downstairs, tinkered on the piano, and the rest is history.

Influenced by her many travels as a child of Air Force parents, Sonja Denyse developed a love for expressing through entertainment in her youth.
