Mixing evocative Celtic songs with upbeat Americana folk and acoustic covers, Lindsay Straw delivers a soundtrack in a warm alto voice with intricate guitar and Irish bouzouki accompaniment. With over 250 weddings under her belt, she loves working with couples to provide the perfect folky playlist tailored to their tastes and needs. She provides her own sound gear and can accommodate new song requests. She's open to weddings all over New England.

Lindsay can provide a soothing all instrumental fingerstyle guitar set, mix in vocals, or switch to Irish bouzouki and go heavy on Celtic songs for folks who want to honor their Irish or Scottish heritage! While she often plays solo, she can also subcontract a friend or two on fiddle, pipes, concertina, mandolin, bass, etc. for an energetic ensemble performance.

    Lindsay was the best choice we made for our wedding! She sang for our ceremony, cocktail hour and even did our first dance. She went above and beyond to learn a new song for us and exceeded our expectations. She was super easy to work with and prompt with responses when we needed her! Her song list was extensive and set the perfect ambiance. We had so many comments from guests saying how talented she is! Also, her price is more than reasonable. We highly recommend Lindsay and look forward to seeing her shows in the Boston area!

    Lindsay was amazing! She provided the music for our daughter’s wedding and during the cocktail hour at the reception. Her style is wonderful and she has an extensive knowledge of so much music. She added a touch of elegance to our event. We highly recommend her!

    Lindsay was a highlight of our wedding reception. She is very talented and can play many different types of music. Our wedding was held at a camp in central Massachusetts and we wanted a folk acoustic feel, which she can play perfectly. Lindsay learned our favorite song for our first dance, and had everyone in tears for when we danced with our dads. She was so helpful in recommending songs for specific moments of our wedding and very accommodating and flexible when setting timelines for our day. From the beginning Lindsay was very professional and quick to respond to emails. One thing we were most impressed with was her ability to get to know us and what we wanted for music on our wedding day. She played a good balance of crowd favorites and their original songs, which gave our reception a unique and personal touch. They were naturals at feeling out the vibe of our venue/guests and setting the tone that we wanted. Lindsay was a perfect fit for our reception and we are so happy to have booked her. The music was unique and loved by all of our guests. People were up dancing and sitting, enjoying the lovely music. As a same-sex couple, Lindsay and Jordan were a safe and comfortable option for us.

    Lindsay was beyond amazing, I can't say enough nice things about her and the special touch she brought to our wedding. Lindsay played during our ceremony and cocktail hour. First and foremost, she has the most beautiful and enchanting voice (we heard a sample and were hooked immediately). She was very easy to work with and so helpful throughout the entire process. Lindsay worked with us early on to get an idea of how she would best fit in and what we were looking for in terms of music choices. She provided guidance for the different songs that play during the ceremony and then what type of music she would play at the cocktail hour. We had so many guests come up to us asking about Lindsay and saying how wonderful she was and that she really made the ceremony special. I would recommend her over and over again and we look forward to seeing her at some of the other shows she plays around us! Thank you Lindsay!
