The 571-acre Scott Farm, a The Landmark Trust USA property, is home to 130 varieties of ecologically-grown heirloom apples and other fine fruits, a seasonal Farm Market, and the Apple Barn Event Center. All 23 buildings on the property are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A popular wedding venue, the farm is surrounded by four authentically-restored historic year-round vacation rental properties accommodating up to 22 guests—one of which is Rudyard Kipling’s Naulakha where he penned the Jungle Book. The Stone Trust Education Center, located in the 1862 Barn, showcases beautiful, unique dry-stone wall installations around the property. The Altamont Manor, a gracious 1894 restored Victorian manor, offers the perfect setting for your wedding. Over our many years here, we've restored both the building and it's surroundings. When booking a wedding or special event with us you not only get the ceremonial and event grounds, but you also get to choose from treehouses, earth homes, A-frame, Yurts and other unique rentals of your choice all included for an unforgettable wedding destination for you and your guests! We are a small resort just one mile north of Lake George Village. We have a beautiful wooded ceremony site and a reception site right next to the ceremony site. We have unique rentals such as treehouses, yurts, and earth homes as well as one bedroom and two bedroom cabins to accommodate overnight guests!

Our raw venue site sits on the side of a mountain, looking back across our family farm’s valleys, fields, and mountains. The site is located on the mountain across from our farmhouse and the area was made to accommodate a large event tent, it is approximately a 60’x200’ area. In addition to our venue site, we also have multiple possible ceremony locations available. Our farm is only a short drive from beautiful Brattleboro, Vermont, allowing accessible lodging for any guests traveling to help you celebrate your special day. With the help of our local and trusted vendors, we can help you create your Vermont dream wedding with our beautiful family farm as your priceless backdrop.
