We are situated in the southern Massachusetts and Rhode Island area, approximately one hour from Boston, 20 minutes from Providence, 45 minutes from Newport and one hour from Cape Cod. City Winery brings the bustle of city living and the luxury of wine country together at our urban winery space in the heart of Boston. Our event sales managers guide couples right through the big day to completely transform any or all of our spaces, including our Barrel Room Wine Bar & Restaurant, Concert Venue, Haymarket Lounge, Tasting Room, Gallery, & Cellar Room. Our inclusive wedding packages include passed hors d'oeuvres, a full open bar, plated dinners, and dessert bites. We offer state-of-the-art sound equipment and in-house technical engineer to assist with the most seamless entertainment execution. Wine loving couples can opt to indulge in guided wine tasting, winery tours, and custom label wine to commemorate their special day. From a full house event hosting up to 350 guests in our concert venue to an intimate gathering of less than 50 in our smaller winery-adjacent spaces, City Winery is here to host the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception of your urban winery dreams.

Our venue features a luxurious 46 x 86' Sperry tent that provides a fully-floored, elegant setting with the capacity to host over 200 guests for dinner and dancing, and 300+ for a standing reception. Inclusive packages bundles essentials but allows you the freedom to choose your own vendors as well.

The 1620 Winery once served as rope-braiding building when part of the historic Plymouth Cordage Company (The nations oldest and largest manufacturer of ship rigging since the early 1800’s). In 2015, Bob and Raquel Mullaney undertook a comprehensive renovation of the gorgeous historic building as a labor of love in order to restore and preserve its rugged beauty and its historic character. The project was completed in 2017 and the new 1620 Winery reopened as a fully operational Winery, wedding and events venue. The centerpiece of the Winery, our grand ballroom with its exposed brick walls, soaring beamed ceilings, wide plank floors and massive fireplace, this space creates an unforgettable setting for your celebration.Our newly-completed “Barrel Room” is a gorgeous spot for your on-site ceremony (or a smaller, more intimate reception).
