The Venue at River's Edge is a recently restored Venue in downtown waterloo. Formerly the building was used as a community building before the city of waterloo had things like a school gym or a theater. At one time the building hosted a long list of events including basketball games, weddings, movies, plays, and even a rifle range in the basement. After being restored we are now again hosting events with a primary focus on weddings and receptions. The Chapel was finished in 1905 and was in use until 2007 when the 3 Catholic Parishes (St. Michael’s, St. Patrick’s, and St. Peter’s) merged into one. A lifeless shell that had been empty for 3 years, we hope to revitalize this stately building, share its beauty and grandeur with the community, and open it to all who are looking for a unique space to hold events. Opening in mid-summer of 2011, Chapel of the Archangels is limited only by your imagination, we offer a great place to hold weddings, wedding receptions, anniversaries, vow renewals.
