“If you are looking for a stunning, outdoorsy, rustic, natural venue that also has all the modern conveniences that you’ll want on your wedding day, look no further than The Mohicans! It was absolutely perfect for us! Due to having our wedding on a weekday, we were able to reserve the venue the day before our wedding to be able to set up and have everything ready early, which was a huge plus. Their vintage rental room is an absolute treasure trove of decorations, signs, candles, and anything else you can think of that you would need to decorate! For what you have access to, the rental price of it is a huge cost saver! Everyone we worked with was kind, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. From Laura, to Amanda, Emma, Ellie and the extremely helpful woman who we had for our two planning visits, we felt welcomed. Don’t pass up the chance to have your wedding here! All of our guests raved about it! We had a rainy, late fall day for our wedding, & the pictures & day couldn’t have been more perfect!”

“The Hotel at Oberlin ended up being the perfect place for our wedding. The location is close to pretty much anything you'll need for a wedding weekend. It's within a 1 minute walk to a variety of potential photograph locations (e.g. Hall Auditorium, Tappan Square...) as well as business (e.g. salons, restaurants, cafes) that can help your wedding day go smoothly. There are also a variety of potential ceremony locations within walking distance. We chose the Apollo Theater across the street. The team at the hotel, especially Lauren, was responsive and helpful every step of the way. The chef and Lauren worked together to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions and requests (e.g. extra entree option, catered lunch and snacks...). They were also helpful with managing the linen rentals, room design, and room block reservations. Guests were charmed by Oberlin and gave us feedback that they enjoyed being able to slow and down and enjoy small town life during the weekend. We booked the Wine Cellar which was the perfect size for a small, intimate reception and we still had plenty of room to add bar service. Our bartender was fantastic and really added to the fun of our event, and the other staff were super attentive and great to work with as well. “The Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel was an excellent choice for our wedding venue. Their communication was quick, informative, and always helpful, which made the planning process seamless. The quality of their work and value was outstanding - the venue was beautiful and clean, and they were able to flip a room quickly and you couldn’t even tell we were in the same room for the reception! The venue really transformed! We were running behind schedule and they were quick to give us extra time so we didn’t have to rush our schedule. Also there is a small lake behind the venue which is stunning, you will not need to leave the venue for family photos after the wedding! They had plenty of staging rooms and an unexpected but appreciated compliment I got from our guest was how good our cocktail hour was, we had indoor and outdoor areas to relax and mingle! My one criticism is, we did find that they could improve the transparency around the financial aspects of the process, as we felt they were not the best stewards of our wedding budget. Despite this concern, I’d still choose them again, they barely hesitated to fix or clear up any concerns we had along the way and I’m sure they will continue to improve in this area. Overall, we were thrilled with our experience at the Renaissance and would recommend them to any couple looking for a stunning wedding venue with excellent service.”

“We love working with couples at Nationwide Hotel for several reasons. First, it is logistically so much easier for couples to have everything taking place in one location. They can stay overnight the night before, get ready there, ceremony, photos, reception, and then afterward all of their guests can stay right there. This means there is no need to coordinate guest transportation, off-site hotels, bridal party transportation for photos, or have an elongated break for photography after the ceremony since it is much faster to do on site. Second, there are plenty of outdoor spaces for couples or bridal party photos if it rains! This is a huge advantage that not all venues have and rain is a real concern for an Ohio wedding. Third, there is a variety of spots on the property for doing group or couples photos. You can have the look of brick, green lawn, the beautiful pergola with all the greenery, the iconic covered walkway, some flowers, a tree-lined area where the leaves change colors SO perfectly in the Fall, and of course the fountain! By the way, the pond is amazing for sunset photos! We have been at Nationwide many times as photographers and always had a great experience. The food was always hot and served on schedule, and their staff is so friendly and genuinely wants to create the best experience for their guests. You cannot go wrong with any of their event spaces!”
