It was never my intention to become a photographer. I more or less fell into it. When I first married, I had a friend who was a professional photographer. She often wanted company on her shoots and on long wedding days. I soaked up every minute of it. Gaining knowledge here and there with, still, no intention of becoming a photographer. Next thing I know, my sweet husband is buying me a camera and the rest is history. I love people in love, and capturing that love in its entirety. Even as a little girl with my cupcake and lemonade stand, I never thought I'd get to turn my creativity into a career. I learned quickly; a desk job is not for me. My love for photography started when I was in high school. I became the school yearbook and newspaper photographer the end of my sophomore year until I graduated. I listened to other people instead of following my heart. It wasn’t until after my father passed away, I realized what I should have done. Now I am trying to regain my dream, and prove to myself and others that you can achieve anything your heart truly desires, regardless of what others may say.

I started doing filmmaking in the music, commercial, and travel industry. I learned a lot; like how to compose amazing images with technical and artistic skills, and directing stories and actors to sell a product or evoke certain emotions. I've even been the cinematographer for a film that premiered in New York City. I was well paid and got to travel the world making these amazing films, but it was pretty empty. It could never compare to the feeling of fulfillment from being a wedding filmmaker. And being able to use my skills to enhance a couple's most important day of their life is something I love doing over and over.
