“When you elope in the middle of a pandemic, it matters all the more that you love your photographer--since they'll be the only other person at your wedding. :) And in short, we couldn't be happier that ours was Shawnee. She has such a gift and a love for the work she does—and it shows. We knew she was the right person from the moment we met on Zoom--she is warm and kind, asked all the right questions, and instantly put us at ease. My partner and I eloped at the end of October 2020 in DC, just before the election. It was a whirlwind moment for so many reasons, especially as a queer couple. And it mattered to us that the person who captured those treasured memories, really understood what that moment meant to us. On Sundays during football season, you can find us in our living room eating homemade wings and cheering on the Cowboys and yelling at the refs because let's face it, any call against Dallas is wrong. LOL, We have four wonderful children; one boy and three girls. If we aren't cheering my kids on in their sports or activities, Lauren is usually making homemade cupcakes or a new dish for my family and friends. We love meeting new friends we haven't met yet through photography and it's a blast hanging with those friends we have. At Shutter & Snap, we want to tell your story, while also being fun!

“My husband and I had our 10 year vow renewal and hired steve and lauren. They were prompt and early. They spoke with us and devoted their time into taking pictures that meant the most to us. We are more in the moment memory pictures and they completely nailed it. Not only did they capture true memories they were also very patient with our two young kids who can be quite difficult at times and were able to get them to react for photos. Lauren and Steve were more than just photographers for us they were so easy to work with and talk too. I could have not hoped for a better outcome. We plan to use them for all our other photo needs as well and highly recommend them for anyone in the surrounding area”
