For owner Mike Yazumbek, DJing is fun and games, but it’s also a lifestyle he has lived and breathed for the past 13 years. Mike got his interest in DJing at age 20 and started out playing friends house parties, then eventually building up a reputation and DJing a the biggest nightclubs in the Chicagoland Area. Pretty Soon, a lot of his friends were getting married and Mike was the first person they thought of. After Djing hundreds of clubs, bars, school dances, private parties and weddings under his freelance name "DJ Mike Y" It was time to finally brand a mobile entertainment company - Reception Entertainment !

Elegant Ensembles was started in 1995 as a way to help connect folks in the Chicago area with great live musicians available for special events. These days, over 3,000 performances later, she has the joy of working with a talented roster of artists who create beautiful art which goes in the ears and straight to the heart.
