I am in my early stages of planning and setting up my wedding at Snug Harbor. I had attended a wedding and was so impressed by the staff and service. I was a bridesmaid for that wedding and had the opportunity to also be the event planner for my dear friends wedding. Snug was at the top of the list. Once my friends had seen the place they were set on it! For myself, as of late I’ve been doing many tours of many venues and finally I circled back to Snug Harbor. I wanted to try for something unique and different and after seeing so many venues that felt like copy and pastes of each other, Snug was a refreshing breath. I’ve been working with Kenzie and Josephine who have been nothing but helpful in the process of hammering out details. One thing for me and my fiancé that was important was that the food held up to our standards. We were worried we wouldn’t be able to do a tasing before booking (as most venues offer either NO tasting or a tasting event after booking). Kenzie worked out a plan for us to get a private tasting the morning of another wedding. This was such a relief and the price we spend on the tasting will go directly toward our wedding. Unlike other venues, I do feel like I’ve been able to customize packages and food and really make this the event we had dreamed about. Not to mention we are local to Staten Island and this venue does NOT feel like we are in Staten Island. It is such a tucked away oasis that we are saying yes to! It is better than pictures and I can not express how excited we are that we found such a beautiful and unique venue close to home for our family and friends. I plan to update this review as I go or after the wedding!

Our wedding at Park Chateau was nothing short of magical in December! We had our ceremony on-site in the chapel and it was absolutely breathtaking. It was intimate, elegant, and the perfect setting to exchange our vows. The reception was stunning to say the least. The staff ensured every detail was flawless, from the setup to service creating an unforgettable experience. Our guests were blown away by the attention to detail. The food was outstanding and cooked to perfection, even our to-go items! The cocktail hour was beyond anything we could have imagined, with an endless variety. From our very first appointment with Dom, we knew we were in the best of hands! Throughout the entire planning process, the entire team was an absolute pleasure to work with. Devin worked with us closely helping us select our menu and coordinating every detail. The entire team was attentive, organized, and truly went above and beyond to make our vision a reality. We had the most amazing experience planning our wedding at Crystal Plaza! Every member of the staff was incredible to work with - from the early planning stages to the day of details. The venue itself is also beautiful, and the food was truly amazing! Not only was cocktail hour incredible, but also was the main course and the desserts. We received so many comments after our wedding about how gorgeous the venue was (including both bridal and groom suites) and about how delicious the food was! We really had the best time and wish we could do it all over again!!

I am so in love with the Park Savoy and am so incredibly happy that we chose them for our reception! This estate is so timeless, elegant, and classy. The building itself is so naturally beautiful and has so much charm and character. I kept my own decor minimal because the building itself is just so beautiful. The whole staff was so helpful and organized during the planning process. They helped put all my anxieties at ease and allo They truly blew all of my expectations out of the water! Jess was my maitre d and she truly was my lifeline and was just absolutely amazing! Jess made sure everything I wanted to do was done and would tell us when certain events would take place or give us timing updates etc. I literally didn’t have to worry about one thing. I had the best bridal attendants. They had earpieces and were constantly communicating which helped everything run smoothly. I did not worry about one little detail, they got everything correct and helped bring my vision to life! I was so well taken care of, I never pushed in my own chair and the bridal attendants even made sure I was taken care of if I had to go to the bathroom. They took such good care of my parents and husband as well. We all felt like we were the only wedding they ever had and they had one earlier in the day and you would’ve never known! All of my guests have said over and over again how they have NEVER been to a wedding at a place like that. They were blown away by the amount of food at the cocktail hour not to mention how the food was displayed! Several of my friends and family who have attended many weddings and even had weddings themselves, said that Park Savoy was like nothing they had ever seen. One of my bridesmaids said it felt like a movie. Every table had its own waiter and every guest was taken care of with such great service. The whole night ran without any issues and Jess made sure everything was taken care of. The level of service and attention to detail that the whole staff has is honestly so refreshing and I truly felt like I was a celebrity! They know what they are doing and they are truly worth every penny! There is not one thing I would go back and change. I would just love to relive the day over again because it truly goes by so fast! I HIGHLY recommend this venue and would be happy to speak with anyone who is considering as these candid reviews helped me soo much in my booking and planning process. I will say- DO NOT HESITATE!!

We got married at the Picnic House in April 2024 and had a great experience! It's a beautiful space that you can do a lot with. We really appreciated both having both the flexibility of choosing amongst a variety of vendors, as well as the assurance that given their experience with the venue that they'd be easy to work with day of (which was true- we had a very smooth wedding day!). We really appreciated working with Caity, who was very responsive over email and quick to pick up the phone. Our only struggle was in acquiring our parking passes (that was really the mail's fault) and in getting some answers early on regarding external alcohol policies. And I would say be very careful in selecting your caterer, since they'll make or break your experience. But overall I would absolutely recommend the Picnic House to anyone! The price really can't be beat for what you're getting.

Your ideal setting for weddings, film shoots, corporate gatherings and more. Located in the heart of historic Brooklyn Heights steps away from the Brooklyn Promenade, the building is a national historic landmark and features timeless architectural details including stained glass windows, soaring ceilings and hand carved woodwork. The building has been renovated with state of the art modern facilities. Whatever your needs, Center for Brooklyn History can tailor a space rental package. Stately columns and soaring ceilings are the focus of the striking first-floor space, while the elegant Othmer Library, a New York City interior landmark, will make your event one for the books!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Dressing room available
  • Classic elegance
  • Historic touches

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Does not allow pets
Our experience with CBH was nothing short of perfect! We had a small 54-person cocktail hour and reception, both in the Othmer Library, and we could not have dreamed of a more perfect space. The overall atmosphere of the library was incredible, and we leaned hard into the old-world feel of the space. Our guests were in awe when they walked in, and the fact that we were able to be involved every step of the way made it so special. CBH works exclusively with Purslane as their caterer, and all communication was done through Purslane, who are also amazing and make fabulous food. (We had many raving guests.) They also help arrange all the rentals, create the run of show, and ensure the night is running along as planned, which it did! A few things we weren't expecting: - The library itself is on the smaller side, so if you want to have dinner and dancing there, you're looking at 60 people tops. This worked out fine for us with plenty of room for a dance floor, but we did have to significantly cut our guest list. - Since the building is a historical landmark, no food or drink that could stain (red sauce, red wine, coffee, etc.) was allowed. This never bothered us, and none of our guests even noticed since we had a fully stocked bar and incredibly delicious food. - We were required to hire a professional day-of coordinator. This was not part of our budget, so be prepared if it's not in yours either. We ended up working with Mostest since they were the least expensive service we could find, and they were amazing. It turned out to be so useful to have our DOC there, so we're happy this rule was imposed, as it led to a seamless night! - The library set up a new exhibit a few weeks before our wedding in the Fransioli Gallery where we were to have our cocktail hour, and we did not know what it would constitute until a few weeks out. We ended up deciding the contents of the exhibit weren't very well suited to a wedding, and CBH/Purslane were incredibly accommodating, offering to put up pipe and drape or move the cocktail hour. We chose to move it to be in the Othmer and were so happy with that decision. Overall, CBH is a 10/10! Our wedding felt like a dream, and anything we had to sacrifice was far outweighed by the stunning space. We would highly recommend CBH as a venue if you're looking for a more intimate night with immaculate vibes!

The Prospect Park Boathouse was our absolute dream venue and the perfect setting for our big day! We had been torn between having a wedding more in nature or more in the city, and the Boathouse was the perfect blend between the two. Although the food wasn't our top priority, it ended up being a highlight of the day (especially the bacon wrapped dates). Throughout planning, Elena was very communicative and quick to respond to any email or question we had. Many of our guests commented on how elegant and classic New York the Boathouse was as a venue, and that's exactly what made us fall in love with it in the first place. We're also very excited that they recently opened a cafe out of the Boathouse during the day as well so that we can go back and relive our special day over and over again. A big thank you to Elena and the rest of the Purslane team for making our special day absolutely perfect!

We had a very minimal DIY wedding; the space at Maison May is beautiful and blank to allow your imagination and dreams to come to life. There is a French kitchen aesthetic downstairs and a modern upstairs. We wouldn't change anything about our day and had a fantastic experience with Maison May, I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to any couples looking for an intimate space with AMAZING food.

We had our wedding at El Caribe on 08/26/2023 and our wedding day was perfect! My wife legitimately cried when she entered the Tiara ballroom. It was the only time she cried the entire day... she didn’t even shed a tear at the church lol. It well more than exceeded our expectations. Cocktail hour was incredible! My wife and I didn’t attend cocktail hour but we were able to see some photos from our guests and it was unbelievable! Cocktail hour included a lobster wall, an oyster shucking station, fresh mozzarella being made fresh in front of your eyes… it was incredible. We wish we had attended our cocktail hour just to view everything in person but we knew that we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy any of the food if we did (as we would have been approached by everyone trying to talk to us and wish us congratulations). Instead we enjoyed all the food being served at the cocktail hour in a separate private room. The staff and service was incredible! Alan was super attentive. He made sure that we stayed hydrated and were able to actually enjoy the food from our cocktail hour and dinner. During our private cocktail hour, Alan dressed my wife in a white tablecloth (so she didn’t spill anything on her dress) and was attending to our every needs. One of my groomsmen’s wives joined us in our private room (she was pregnant and we welcomed her to join us so she could be comfortable) and she commented how awesome and attentive the staff was and how the staff at her venue practically forgot about her wedding (we didn’t ask for her to elaborate lol). Similarly Ashley (the bridal attendant) and George were awesome as well! The MOH was struggling to bustle my wife’s dress and Ashley just took over and bustled it up quickly! I would highly suggest El Caribe for your wedding venue! After attending my wedding my cousin (who experienced El Caribe for the first time at my wedding) booked his wedding at El Caribe shortly afterwards. Also, your cake from Aliotta Pastry Shop is included when you book with El Caribe and the cake was phenomenal.

Our wedding at Birchwood Manor was an absolute dream come true! The entire team, especially Farrell, made it the best day of our lives. From start to finish, they were on top of every single detail, making the weeks leading up to our big day as relaxing and enjoyable as can be. I never had a moment of doubt, knowing they were taking care of everything and would bring my vision to life flawlessly. Farrell, in particular, was incredible—she offered round-the-clock support and treated us like family. Not only did she go above and beyond to make sure that my husband, our families, and friends were comfortable and well cared for from the beginning of planning to the wedding day, but she handled the wonderful chaos of our families with grace. She truly made us feel special and took care of every little thing, creating a beautiful celebration that we’ll never forget. We are so grateful for her and the Birchwood Manor team! Thank you for making our wedding day perfect in every way!

Where do we begin?! We are so happy we choose the Wythe and so incredibly grateful to the entire team for making our wedding dreams come true!

JD and Cassie have been exceptional to work with - from the minute we met them at our initial tour we knew we were in amazing hands! They always promptly and kindly answered our emails, and all our changes never seemed to be a problem. They truly supported and cared for us every step of the way, and made the entire process not just easy, but fun! In addition to Cassie and JD, the entire team at the Wythe - from hotel porters, to bar and wait staff - were so incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. Seriously 10/10 hospitality from the entire team. And I can’t leave a review without mentioning the tasting night that they offer - it was by far our favorite part of the entire wedding planning process, and such a fun - and delicious - date night!! (OMG the food and beverage from Le Crocodile is so so so good!). We count ourselves so lucky to be part of the Wythe Wedding alumni and can’t wait to return year after year for our anniversary!

3 West’s coordinator Marc and his staff went absolutely above and beyond for our wedding. They took my homemade centerpieces and made the solarium and the ballroom especially look truly breathtaking– but the hotel on its own is a true old New York style gem. Off-peak pricing with the room block was a great deal and worth every penny. Guests were directed from room to room quickly and with ease, communication was prompt and helpful, and the party went off without a single hitch. Thank you 3 West for bringing my dream to life!

Megan, the director, is an absolutely dream to work with. quick responses, explains everything clearly, a sweetheart. Hotel is super clean, the food is amazing and the staff were lovely. The Maitre De went missing a lot throughout the day, to the point where my uncle had to find her whenever i needed. They set up & cleaned everything up for us which was lovely. the hotel bar stayed open late (sunday wedding) but you couldn’t make it private. so you had people at the bar trying to add to an open tab. you get a room block, the director of rooms Rebecca is very easy to work with as well. the outdoor ceremony space is gorgeous!!! My husband and I had our wedding here in September and we were blown away by the entire experience. All of our guests – from NYC locals to out-of-towners – commented on how magical the venue and the setting were. Alfonso, Kat and Amelia were thoughtful, attentive and SO thorough. They are total pros, and also just lovely people. In addition to all of the beautiful decor, food and ambiance, I have included a photo of Alfonso hand delivering a cocktail to me because he wanted to ensure I enjoyed myself while chatting with the guests. Not pictured: when he brought plates of food to my husband and I to make sure we got to eat! Cannot recommend it more highly!

My ONLY complaint is that even though they do not book any other events for the same time, they charge extra to book any rooms in addition to the main space and courtyard.
