We had such an amazing wedding at The Oliver Building. Having the venue for the whole weekend made our weekend run so smoothly. We had our rehearsal Friday night, and brought everything over so we didn’t need to deal with it Saturday. Then got ready in the amazing upstairs suites Saturday morning. We had a great time, and Caitlin was so easy to work with! The only reason I took a star off is that we had some issues with the bar. We made it clear from the start that we wanted to prioritize the bar, and didn’t want long lines. Because of that, they said we would have 3 bartenders, and would batch some of our signature cocktails. Unfortunately, we only had two bartenders, despite giving tips for 3, and there were no cocktails batched. We did have a pretty long line at our bar most of the night because of this. All in all, it was an amazing venue for our wedding!!

The Midland is hands down one of the best venues we have worked with from a vendor perspective! First and most importantly, the staff is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! Our experience first started out with Kayla. Kayla is the Event Operations Manager at The Midland, of which her title should be “The Jack Of All Trades, Event Mastermind”. Kayla is the most kind, knowledgable, helpful, and organized person you will every meet! She had all of the information when I needed it and had very quick replies to any emails or questions that arose through the planning process. Kayla knew the entire venue inside and out and was incredibly helpful not only during the planning process, but during the wedding as well! The venue itself is absolutely stunning! This venue is one that needs very minimal decor because it is stunning all on it’s own. Can you decorate and have extravagant decor? Absolutely! We heard mentions all night abut the stunning venue!

The space is beautiful, it’s open and customizable in so many ways, the staff were wonderful to work with the entire time we were planning and the day of (and even after), the pricing is reasonable and includes SO much, the list goes on and on. As a bride who DIY’d, didn’t have a planner, and has anxiety, Megan eased so much of my worries with good communication and willingness to help take things off my plate if needed. Megan & team - thank you so much! 10/10 recommend.

On top of that, the space (The Kansas City Room) is beautiful, versatile, and the suites in the back are a HUGE bonus to make your wedding weekend more seamless and relaxed.
