This historic space first opened for business in 1922 as a silent movie house, called the Rosedale Theatre, and was revamped as The Vox Theatre in the 1940s. The building's art deco craftsmanship, seen through vibrant brick inlays offers a dramatic entrance into the space. Once inside, the 6,500 square foot building boasts 20' high ceilings and sweeping views throughout the main event space; your gaze will wander to the original stage valence framed by customized architectural lighting. Plush red velvet curtains greet you upon entering the space, and boldly frame the 16ft wide elevated stage. Where theatre seating once was, the space is now completely open concept, offering uninterrupted sight-lines and allowing creative flexibility in how you arrange your event.

Upside Studios KC is a historic, truly rustic, event space located in the west bottoms of Kansas City. The building dates back to the early 1900s. With over 5500 square feet of unique space, you will find something different in every nook and cranny, from exposed brick, pillars, patina, original wood floors and so much more that makes for optimal photos along with being right outside the 12th street bridge! Our space can host 150 seated and 200 people total.

The Oliver Building Event Space encompasses 3 floors of a lovingly restored 1880s building in Kansas City's Historic West bottoms. With over 20,000 sqft the Oliver is perfect for everything from an intimate, romantic wedding, a throwdown party or corporate trade shows and seminars. Our event space is classically decorated with a timeless, European folk-tale inspired motif that reaches from floor to our beautiful 16 foot ceilings. The rustic full-wall windows let in gorgeous floods of sunlight by day and romantic views of the city by night. We would love to help host your event and perfectly curate your special day. Our space can seat up to 45 guests plus additional outdoor and side room accommodations if needed. Event Rentals start at $600 for a three hour rental. Our in-house catering menu is available for events and includes crepe bars, charcuterie options, bartending and more.
