My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club on June 24, 2023. We were thrilled with how friendly and accommodating all of the staff was during our wedding day. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how the food was delicious and how they loved talking to our bartenders. The venue also accommodated some of our guest's dietary restrictions and our bar menu. We planned our event with Debbie. She was helpful and organized. She couldn't make it on our special day, so Nancy filled in during our rehearsal and wedding day. Nancy was also very helpful, accommodating, and kind. The ceremony space was beautiful! It included an arch with white flowers and greenery draped over it. Our only complaint was how hot the reception hall was. Some of the guests said they were comfortable with the temperature. It was a very hot and humid day outside. The building is a little bit older so it was difficult to regulate the temperature. Overall, the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club was the perfect venue for our wedding. Our package included two entrees at the buffet, a wedding cake, table linens, and bar. The price was perfect for everything included in our package. The location is close to the airport and great for having a ceremony/reception at the same venue. We couldn't be happier with our choice!

We had the most perfect day and the venue was gorgeous. But there were a few hiccups. Be mindful that in the pictures you see there is up-lighting and chairs from an outside company. I did bring both of these things in. The guest rooms are beautiful and the staff at the hotel is very accommodating, friendly and easy to work with. As far as planning goes. If you are not organized, I would recommend a wedding planner. The coordinator is a nice woman but communication is lacking. I was suppose to have a conference room set up the morning of the wedding and no one at the hotel new what was going on, so we were calling staff and the coordinator at 7 am in the morning for the hair and makeup arrival. Make sure you have a list of all the things you want to see if they are available to you. I've never planned a large party so I didn't know what I didn't know until it was too late. I did not experience, but some of my guests waited over 45 minutes for valet and were told they could wait, drive around or park themselves "it wasn't the valet problem." They did not want to miss the ceremony so were forced to park at a higher cost in an off lot. ((I found this embarrassing to myself and the venue because I only told guests to valet)). The coordinator spoke to the Valet manager and I felt the response was very cold. This is a costly venue and the guests should be treated with more respect. I did also sign a contract for my Marriot Bonvoy numbers and the points are suppose to accumulate 10 days after your event, I have not received anything and had to reach out to the billing department for a final bill. These issues are minor compared to the fun we had, amazing food and great day overall. Just be on top of your game when you are planning.

We can set up a wedding ceremony at multiple locations on the property with plenty of parking. Tented receptions up to 300 guests are permitted on the property. We also have a historic century barn that is renovated and holds up to 200 guests with additional patio seating. We are located about 10 miles west of Toledo Ohio. Our specialty is our rehearsal/ wedding ceremony value package. Stay in the 5 bedroom farmhouse cottage on the property and have the rehearsal and dinner on the property or in the workshop party room and then have the ceremony the next day. Brides love staying at the farmhouse with their bridesmaids to prepare together for the wedding day. We are located on 10.5 acres with woods, barns, a pond, and rustic accents so there are many great photo opportunities!

The Whiskey Factory’s partnership with Two Unique makes catering and rentals so easy and not at all overwhelming. We worked extensively with Amelia throughout the planning process who was always so sweet, professional, and happy to answer my countless questions in the months leading up to our wedding day. Their checklists leading up to the wedding took off a lot of stress and put me at ease that I was not forgetting anything. The cocktail tasting was SO fun, and one of our favorite parts of the planning process! Fast forward to wedding day–our wedding could not have gone more perfectly! We had both our ceremony and reception at the venue, and their room flip process was so seamless for our guests! The Whiskey Factory’s bar tenders are quick and personable, and our guests loved that they never had to wait for a drink. We also purchased an empty barrel for our guests to sign, which has become an awesome addition to our basement bar! Our guests raved about how good the specialty cocktails, beer, and other drinks were, and how cool and unique the venue was. We had a lovely stay at Plaz Vilka for our college couples-only reunion. We had a mix of couples and singles and the cottages gave us flexibility for people to choose their sleeping arrangements and allowed for privacy. The property also had plenty of spaces to gather together as a large group which was the goal! We even did a special outdoor dinner event with a private chef which was the highlight of the weekend. The chef had multiple kitchen options to prepare and serve dinner at the property with plenty of supplies. We had the best weekend complete with beautiful sunsets! Highly recommend this property and the owners were great to work with - absolutely no issues at all! Thank you!

It was amazing to see my favorite music venue transformed for our wedding, we loved everything about it. Working with event coordinator Mellisa was a great experience, she was so helpful and thoughtful throughout the whole process. We had rave reviews on the food from our guests, especially the elephant ears for dessert. The chef even made separate dishes for myself and a bridesmaid who are vegetarians. The bar service was also awesome and super friendly. Our guests were very pleased with the variety. The overall flow of the wedding went great, and the team made sure everyone was in their places when needed. We also got to take some pretty awesome photos throughout the venue complex, including the Garden Bowl. The band we hired sounded and looked great with the house lights and sound. I cannot say enough good things, I would do it all over again! It was everything I could have wanted and more. Thank you soooooo much, Majestic Team!!!

Its been two weeks since our wedding and we have not stopped getting compliments on our venue. It was beautiful, the food was great, service was fantastic. It may just be the stress of being an anxiety-ridden bride, I found the staff a little hard to work with in the planning phases. My husband took it over for me and had no issues, so probably a me-thing. But throughout the whole process, Daphne was very professional, communicative, and the day was everything we had dreamed it to be. Even my mother was tremendously happy with the venue, and she's not easy to please!

In the months leading up to my wedding, we had three venues cancel. Two closed, another was shut down due to HVAC issues. The third cancelled TWO WEEKS before the wedding. Detroit Circle Center saved the day. They were so willing to work with us last minute, and I wish we had known about them beforehand to just go with them in the first place. The venue is beautiful, I think I initially described it to people as jazz age industrial vibes. I was immediately obsessed with the circular windows. The layout was absolutely perfect; one room for the ceremony, move one room over for drinks and appetizers, then downstairs for the reception. The staff were so helpful throughout the whole day, and they had a great recommendation for a bar tender. It truly was so easy to work with them exactly when I needed something easy and fast. The fact that they were willing to meet with us and the decorator multiple times and help us whip everything up in just two weeks was amazing. I could not recommend them enough for any event, they were absolutely wonderful.

This CLEAN, BRAND NEW facility is PERFECT for any wedding size! It's got air conditioning, a beautiful ceremony area outside, TWO BEAUTIFUL balcony's inside where you can sit guests for dinner or just keep them open. The bar area is big, long and will serve guests inside AND outside the venue. It's awesome! The bathrooms are clean and the "getting ready" area is very well lit! Would recommend this venue to any couple!!

We reserved The Kensington Hotel for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception this past November. The ballroom with it's own lobby area was perfect for our guests. We especially loved the beautiful woodwork and decor in the hallway leading to the ballroom and in the attached lobby. Even better than the decor, were the people who made it such a special day. Leah, the catering/sales manager was exceptional at bringing everything together. She went above and beyond to make the day exactly what the bride had envisioned. She was kind and enthusiastic about our ideas, and added some great suggestions of her own. Likewise, the rest of the staff could not have been nicer. From the staff at the front desk, the staff who helped set up, to the chef and servers, everyone treated us well. The food (we chose buffet option with carving station) and hors d'oeuvres were wonderful. We also chose a late night pizza option for 10:30 pm which all of the guests appreciated. We can highly recommend The Kensington for your wedding and /or reception.

We fell in love with Matthaei when we lived in Ann Arbor and always had it in mind as a ceremony venue. Obviously since the site was a botanical garden, it was stunning. We got married in the Perennial Garden late June and everything was in bloom. It made for an absolutely beautiful backdrop for our photos afterward. I have to give a special shout-out to Monica, the events coordinator. She was absolutely on top of her game and was always super quick to get back to us. She even set us up with parasols the morning of to help our guests stay cool in the sun. They were all white so they looked cute in the photos as well! Cost was super reasonable, we paid 1800 for the deluxe package. Definitely recommend that or the premium if you don't want to deal with set up and takedown of the chairs. They did a great job with setup and everything was exactly as we wanted. Monica was also on-site for our rehearsal and helped us with all the last minute questions we had.
