Groom
The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first toured the space, the staff provided amazing service that continued throughout the entire planning process and wedding day. The ballroom was elegant and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. The food was delicious and the catering team ensured everything ran smoothly. Our wedding day was truly magical, thanks to the incredible team at the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate our special day.
Beautiful Venue
We had the most perfect day and the venue was gorgeous. But there were a few hiccups. Be mindful that in the pictures you see there is up-lighting and chairs from an outside company. I did bring both of these things in. The guest rooms are beautiful and the staff at the hotel is very accommodating, friendly and easy to work with. As far as planning goes. If you are not organized, I would recommend a wedding planner. The coordinator is a nice woman but communication is lacking. I was suppose to have a conference room set up the morning of the wedding and no one at the hotel new what was going on, so we were calling staff and the coordinator at 7 am in the morning for the hair and makeup arrival. Make sure you have a list of all the things you want to see if they are available to you. I've never planned a large party so I didn't know what I didn't know until it was too late. I did not experience, but some of my guests waited over 45 minutes for valet and were told they could wait, drive around or park themselves "it wasn't the valet problem." They did not want to miss the ceremony so were forced to park at a higher cost in an off lot. ((I found this embarrassing to myself and the venue because I only told guests to valet)). The coordinator spoke to the Valet manager and I felt the response was very cold. This is a costly venue and the guests should be treated with more respect. I did also sign a contract for my Marriot Bonvoy numbers and the points are suppose to accumulate 10 days after your event, I have not received anything and had to reach out to the billing department for a final bill. These issues are minor compared to the fun we had, amazing food and great day overall. Just be on top of your game when you are planning.
