During the reception she was always around helping the staff, bartending, and checking with my husband and I if we needed anything. The Oaks Event Hall itself is a stunning, modern, and spacious venue - our guests were in awe of how gorgeous it was. The Harper is nestled in a gorgeous plot of land with a bubbling stream and a beautiful pond. If that doesn’t sound perfect enough, the owner, Natasha Learn has made the interior the perfect event venue. The aesthetic alone is very stunning, while still being simple yet elegant enough to match basically any aesthetic you could ask for. What made my event magical was planning my wedding with Natasha and getting her full-service day-of coordination. She is spectacular. My mother and I normally bicker about everything, yet by working with Natasha, she saw both my mother’s vision and my own come into beautiful fruition. We have no connection to Meadville whatsoever and for most of us, it took at least 2 hours to get to Meadville. I would make people drive 10 hours to go to Meadville for the sake of having a wedding at the Harper. The Harper is a stunning venue, that was accessible to any person- elderly, handicapped, coming with many children, disorganized bride, and even a very grumpy grandma. As a side note, any mothers, fathers, grooms, brides, etc. Save the relationships, and sign up for full-service planning. It is the most valuable thing about Natasha/ The Harper!

From the moment we first arrived to view the lodge, my wife and I knew this was the place we were going to get married. The property is gorgeous, the pond and the woods make the ideal background for your wedding pictures! The lodge it self is also incredible, from the amount of space to all of the entertainment in the game room to keep the little ones occupied. Sharyn and her crew were incredible to work with and made sure that everything was perfect before we arrived. Having an all inclusive location was a huge deal for us and the lodge provided everything we dreamt of!

We had our wedding in January 2022 at the Kelly ballroom. It met and exceeded all our expectations! The space was beautiful and clean and well organized. No detail was missed. They helped set up what we couldn’t and had everything beautiful and perfect when we walked in. The food was AMAZING! Our guests were impressed with all the food! Our bartenders were quick and so friendly. They worked well collaboratively with our photographer and DJ. They truly made such a stressful day into an easy, flowing, smooth, beautiful day!! I’d recommend over and over again. The Kelly ballroom and that day will forever be an extremely special memory for our family!

The Yellow House is a historic farmhouse built in 1857 that sits on 120 acres of farmland. The house is a regional favorite when our field of sunflowers blooms in late August and early September. Guests can utilize the interior of the farmhouse as well as the expansive grounds.

I knew that we wanted a rustic wedding, but I did not like the idea of a barn wedding. I wanted something more elegant but still relaxed. My fiancé (now husband) came across the Yellow House online and set up a tour. It is absolutely stunning - built in 1857 and wonderfully maintained. My husband and I live in Cleveland, and do not a connection to Erie, but the two-hour distance was no problem for our guests, and Erie vendors are very inexpensive to work with - added bonus! I think our entire wedding would cost triple if we tried in Cleveland, but there is nothing like the Yellow House in our area. I would definitely recommend the Yellow House to anyone looking for a truly unique venue.

Throughout the planning process, the venue coordinator was very responsive via email and phone, answering all of our questions promptly. On the wedding day, the staff worked seamlessly with our other vendors like the caterer, florist, and DJ to ensure everything flowed smoothly. The team was organized and attentive to details. Their expertise and coordination were invaluable in reducing stress so we could truly enjoy our celebration with family and friends.

The Place At 534 was the most perfect and magical place for our wedding day. From the very beginning, the communication with the owners and staff was incredibly efficient and amazing. The quality of their work and attention to detail was truly special - the venue was beautiful, and they made our wedding day feel truly perfect and unforgettable. Even four months after our wedding, I miss every second of that day and would relive it 100 times over. The owners and staff at The Place At 534 are truly amazing, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

In brief, we cannot recommend Meadow Ridge highly enough--the venue is beautiful and unique, but more than that, working with Seneca and her team is a pure joy! They are organized, thoughtful, responsive, and caring. They make you feel like family from the first time you meet and the investment in the success of your wedding day is incredible. Lastly, I was nervous planning a multicultural event with integration of Indian and American wedding traditions in rural Ohio and all our requests and details pertaining to Indian cultural aspects were beautifully integrated into the wedding day! It is clear that hosting excellent and memorable weddings is a proud commitment for the Meadow Ridge team, not just a job they have. Venue: large, beautiful outdoor venue with a covered pavilion. To quote our friend, "I've been to a lot of barn weddings, yours was not a farm wedding, it was a fairytale." The flowers were stunning, the grass was lush, the pond lined with reeds and tall grassed, the sunset was out of a painting. There is a new patio in the larger pavilion which we used as our dance floor, so our guests danced the night away under the stars. The photography team Suzuran has stunning pictures of Meadow Ridge across several seasons! Communication/Planning: Seamless communication with the team, Seneca was always easy to reach and responsive, answering our infinity questions meticulously and graciously adjusting her plans when we had to change ours. Service: So thoughtful and caring, we and our guests were blown away! For instance, the bartenders kept track of what drinks we had as the bride and the groom and came to find us with refills. One of the servers brought over tissues when my parents and I started crying before walking down the aisle. As we mentioned, the integration of elements of Indian culture was phenomenal--Seneca was receptive from our first conversation and worked hard to make our hopes a reality. Having our wedding at Meadow Ridge was an absolute privilege and the success of the day is fully reflective of the incredible team we got to work with--we are just so grateful!

Tropical Paradise in Geauga County! I kept telling my husband when we were looking into venues, "I want somewhere close to the water that's peaceful and I want it to feel like paradise, but I want to get married not too far from home". Most of our family is from the area, so we wanted somewhere that we didn't have to travel super far either. I had been looking for DAYS and everything was either way too far, way too expensive, ehhh, or just not at all what I was thinking. My husband hopped on Google, and said "Hey, how about this place called Shangri-La?" I looked at the pictures and I was like "Where is this place?!" He said "5 minutes from us". I could NOT believe it! It was GORGEOUS! The pictures are amazing but don't do it justice. I immediately reached out to Pam and Rod who own Shangri-La with interest. They said we could come and look at it that day if we wanted! My husband and I went and fell in LOVE! So so beautiful, and they have clearly spared no expense on making it so elegant, beautiful, convenient, affordable, and just magical. They were so amazing to work with. I knew when we parked and walked down the walkway even only seeing a small area of the location that was it. That was the place we were meant to be married at. Pam and Rod were so unbelievably amazing to work with. So caring, so organized, so attentive. They even offered us to set off fireworks at the end of our wedding (we got married on the 4th of July). It was truly the best day of our lives. I didn't worry about a thing, everything went smoothly, and they were just so great to work with! I will absolutely be returning to Shangri-La in the future as they can accommodate you for any kind of gathering you have in mind! They even went the extra mile; I was in a very bad car accident about 2 weeks after my husband and I got back from our honeymoon. I was in the hospital for a days and had broken my neck and had surgery on my knee that left me re-teaching myself to walk. Somehow, Pam and Rod had found out that I was in a car accident, and they stopped over at our house with the sweetest care package and card. It truly made me cry. They are such sweet and wonderful people. And we had such an amazing visit. Pam and Rod are just such unbelievably genuine people. You just feel like you're "home" when you're at Shangri-La. I cannot say enough about Shangri-La and Pam and Rod <3

Sugar Lake Lodge is a 135 acre estate with a seven acre private lake surrounded by Lake County Metro Parks. It features a gorgeous 6,700 square foot lodge & event center with an 1,800 square ft. private suite fully equipped with kitchen, fire place, and elegant bathroom all with a slight rustic feel. There is also a steam room for guests to unwind and enjoy. In addition, there is a lakefront event center with dual inside and outside fireplaces, and accommodations. For a more remote and primitive experience, there are secluded cabins complete with bathrooms and a pavilion with cooking grills sinks and fire pits amidst beautiful hiking and horseback riding trails.

I don't even know if I can explain enough how wonderful everything was about our experience with Sugar Lake Lodge. Nadine and Steve were fantastic to work with. Steve was our officiant and Nadine was was our planner and they both get 5/5 stars. Of all the searching we did for a venue and to think we ALMOST went with a different one. I found Sugar Lake Lodge and at the last minute before booking I decided to just see it for the heck of it. All we had to do was pull in the drive before we got to the Lodge for our meeting and we KNEW this was the place for us. We had a personal hiccup and postponed our wedding and Steve was sooo understanding and even offered services if we needed anything. Steve was our Officiant and I couldn't have asked for a better one. Our ceremony was a little different but he was terrific. I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money to have a wedding coordinator but I'm so glad I did. Nadine was fabulous and had suggestions that were perfect. At one point close to the wedding day I was having an issue with the person that was to do my flowers and Nadine was ready to dig in and see if she could help. Heidi was on top of everything the day of and was very attentive. She even made sure that my Husbands elderly father didn't need anything throughout the day. She set everything up and was perfect. We had gotten LOTS of compliments from how beautiful the venue was to how Heidi was made everything run smoothly. We wanted to get married by the big tree at the lake but the weather wasn't cooperating. Steve made sure that when there was a break in the weather he got us out to get the pictures we were hoping to get outside. I didn't catch her name but the bartender was absolutely amazing as well. I cannot say enough about this venue. If you have ANY doubts, forget them. This place was more than what I wanted to spend but it was so worth it. Book your wedding with Sugar Lake Lodge!

I cannot begin to describe how happy we are that we booked Basil Place for our wedding. I planned our Cleveland wedding from out-of-state, and Michelle from the get-go was so flexible in setting up tours for my family and fiancé when we got into town. First, I'll speak about the venue itself: it is absolutely the most beautiful place I've ever seen. The whole farm is surrounded by beautiful nature, trees, and ponds, and rolling pastures. We were able to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony, get ready in the carriage house, and use the manor house for pictures, hanging out, and pre-wedding snacks. Our reception was in the barn, which is so gorgeous and opens up onto a patio with views of rolling fields and reflecting ponds (which are stocked with bass if you feel like fishing like some of our guests did!) There was so much space for our reception we were able to set up cornhole and spikeball outside the barn which made for such a fun evening. Our guest loved taking pictures all around the property. I cannot say enough good things about how perfect this venue was for our wedding! I also have to mention how absolutely wonderful and above and beyond Michelle and her staff were throughout every step of the wedding process. Michelle truly feels like family to us. She made the process so easy and was so accommodating to all of our requests. She checked on us so many times leading up to and the day of the wedding- we truly felt so taken care of It is so apparent that this is not just a business to her, but truly her passion. Their preferred caterer, A Taste Of Excellence, was hands-down the best experience with a caterer we've ever had. Mikaela was so kind and flexible, and the food was absolutely to die for we were so impressed with them that we had them cater our welcome dinner as well. They do so many weddings at basil place that they are very familiar with set up and where to go, which makes for that much smoother of a day. All the catering staff were so kind and friendly and added to the positive atmosphere. In summary, if we could go back in time, we would choose Basil Place 100 times over!!

If you are stuck between wanting a classic, old fashioned and a modern, sleek wedding, you can have BOTH at Sun Valley! The completely renovated inside mixed with the charming covered patio and pond outside creates the perfect blend; let's not forget that it sits on 25 acres of land in a very secluded area. This truly is a hidden gem! I never knew SV existed until my fiancé (now husband) and I decided to change our wedding venue TWO months before the big day (Covid-19 played a major role in that). I can honestly say that changing our venue was the best decision we made! Not only did Jennifer accommodate our wedding date but she worked with us up until the very day to make sure everything was just how we had envisioned it to be (we were also very fortunate to be the FIRST wedding under the ownership of Jennifer, Melissa and Scott)! When I walked into SV on my wedding day, I was blown away at how spot on every little detail was. Everything from the entrance table to the layout of the guest tables to the décor was exactly how I wanted it. I love that SV gave me access to their online seating chart so I could do my own layout and make changes up until a couple days before the wedding. Jennifer had very minimal questions for me the week of which is crucial because, as a bride, the week of the wedding is very overwhelming; the last thing you need to worry about is your setup at the venue. SV also provides a spacious bridal suite with a code generated lock where you and your bridal party can store all of your belongings throughout the night. Let's also not forget about the mirrors in the suite that light up at the touch of your finger; I wish I'd spent more time in there but, as everyone always says, the night flies by - and they are right! Another benefit of having your wedding at SV is that the grounds and pond make for beautiful photos! Some of my best photos were captured right next to the pond under a beautiful tree. While having photos taken, it was so refreshing to look over and see our guests fully enjoying cocktail hour that was setup outside with an open bar and delicious appetizers provided by Flour. If you are able to, splurge and rent some colorful linen from Event Source and hire an acoustic musician to play during cocktail hour. It really makes for a magical evening for your friends and family. I cannot tell you how many people commented on how SV was the most beautiful venue they'd ever been to. I couldn't agree more and I can't believe I almost didn't get married there! I really could not have pictured having my wedding anywhere else. If you are stuck between a few venues, do yourself a favor and just go with Sun Valley! Between Jennifer (wedding planner), Melissa (photographer) & Scott (DJ), you are working with three seasoned industry professionals who know how to put on a party! You will not regret your decision!
