In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

It’s clear how much thought and effort they have put in to already create an amazing backdrop that we didn’t feel stressed with decorating at all. Every space speaks for itself and emphasizes the beautiful nature that is all around. With that, we really appreciated the freedom to make the spaces our own and include unique elements that felt true to who we are as a couple. We got to be creative with vendors, photo spots, ceremony locations, getting ready, and other optional amenities that contributed to it feeling like our own property for the day! We also highly recommend Steve’s business Trustworthy Music for a DJ. Steve added so much energy and kept our guests on the dance floor the entire time. We also highly recommend Jana for a day of coordinator. She is so knowledgeable, a blast to work with, and went above and beyond checking on us and our guests throughout the wedding. Forestville Winery and Event Center encompasses 17 acres of beauty and serenity. 2024 marks our sixth season hosting events and memories to guests from all over the world. Our Event building is currently undergoing major renovation and will be completed by April of 2024. The climate controlled space will feature spacious room for 150 guests in a “country elegant” décor. The building features a Bride’s suite with full bathroom and private patio. Also inside is a wine and beer service area, a catering kitchen, a food serving area, a stage for Musicians and spacious restrooms, Most Ceremonies are held outside near the Vineyard, weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the Ceremonies can be held under our Event tent. The Forestville property is also home to a completely renovated one room School constructed in 1897 and used as a school until 1964. The School building houses our wine and beer tasting room and also the Groom’s Suite for weddings.

We have been customers of the Winery for several years so having them host our Wedding was always our plan. The owners and staff did a truly outstanding job, we are totally satisfied with everything.

Located in the Heart of Downtown Rochester by the Peace Plaza, The Kahler Grand Hotel and the Marriott Rochester Mayo Clinic Area give us the versatility to host a wide variety of wonderful events. The Kahler Grand offers the historically preserved Elizabethan Ballroom and the modern, space-flexible Heritage Hall; as well as smaller rooms which can accommodate groups of 10 to 450 guests. Our prominent Marriott Ballroom is one of Rochester’s most modern reception venues and is a marvelous location for of up to 250 guests. It is easily accessible next to a parking garage and connected by a skyway that overlooks Peace Plaza.

After touring over 10 venues in Rochester, Stillwater and the Twin Cities, we discovered that many of the representatives seemed disconnected to the venue and we were often meeting with people that were not the events coordinator. In general there was a lack of enthusiasm for the business we were prepared to give them with hosting 200 plus guests, providing a seated dinner, full bar and hiring live music. Then, we met with Amanda and Souliman to tour the Kahler Grand Hotel. From the first communication we could sense something was different and were looking forward to our meeting. From the first handshake there was a positive energy and they helped us to feel as if we were their only customer. They both gave us a tour of the various rooms available to have a ceremony and reception. They were thorough in providing details and we were not left guessing about costs. They were able to answer all of our questions without deferring to other entities. Amanda and Souliman had knowledge, autonomy and authority to make decisions without needing to cut through several levels of bureaucracy. Their policies were designed to benefit the customer and we did not feel anything was being hidden from us at any point during the planning process. We feel they put our needs first and were some of the most professional individuals we encountered throughout the venue search. We were planning a wedding with a separate ceremony and reception space, but did not want our guests to have to drive to and from several locations. With the variety of different event spaces, the Kahler Grand Hotel met those requirements as well as being connected to the hotel rooms. In addition, they are connected to the Marriot. The hotel room tour showed that their renovations are almost complete and would have been by the time of our wedding. The rooms are modern, well-appointed and we felt the accommodations would be impressive and comfortable for guests. Our food tasting exceeded our expectations as there were many food choices and quality taste. They were able to accommodate a time when our parents would be visiting form out of state. Their bar policies were fair, reasonable and they happily entertained our unusual request to procure a barrel of local whiskey. All of these things were top notch, what we were looking for and surprisingly under our budget. However, we cannot emphasize enough how Amanda and Soulaiman were the reason we chose to book our wedding at the Kahler Grand Hotel. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our wedding due to COVID-19 and it was hard to make this decision because of having such a positive experience. They were gracious, understanding and made the termination of our contract easy. We recommend the Kahler Grand Hotel as top choice for weddings! Thank you, Jessica and Chris

We (and all of our guests) LOVED the Gardens of Castle Rock, everything about it was stunning and beautiful!!! Glenn, Michelle, and Anne turned their love of landscaping into such a beautiful venue, a collective display of their many talents. Kris was our point of contact through the process and things would not have been as seamless without her! She was ready with recommendations, suggestions, and quick with all forms of communication. This venue is flexible with vendors as well, and they have many helpful handouts if you dont quite know which vendors to choose. They (at least prior to covid) hosted plenty of on-site get-to-know events with those they've worked with. They worked with us ahead of time and set up the seating arrangements day-of with how we'd like it. There were different types of seating options as well. While we ended up choosing the lathhouse (a stunning french style trellis area covered in grapevines) the venue had 4 different locations for ceremonies, each beautiful in very different ways. With how large, flexible, and beautiful this site is I don't think any two weddings could look the same there. It was truly a unique experience and allowed us to really captivate our own expression for our wedding.

The owners and staff were all so personable, friendly and very helpful, they definitely went above and beyond for their clients! I hope to celebrate another event there someday!

Our experience with the 3Ten Event Venue was everything we hoped for. Upon arrival, everything was clean, there was a cart waiting for us by the front door to use to unload our items for the day. Tina, our day of coordinator was hands on right away helping get decor where it needed to be and helping our wedding party feel settled in with mimosas and bloody marys. She didnt make us feel like a burden being there early in the morning. I asked family to set up chairs for our ceremony. By the time they got there, Tina and staff already had it done. Everything leading up to the ceremony flowed so nicely because of the amazing staff at the 3Ten. It was obvious they enjoyed being there and truly cared about the quality of our day. We choose to have the bar open after the ceremony. We were a little hesitant about the bar rush taking too long. Nola handled guest with a smile, quickly, and was organized. Many guest were talking about how beautiful the bar was and how nice it was to have such a friendly and fun bartender. Both Nola and Tina checked in with us throughout dinner and the reception. We truly felt valued and appreciated. Were so happy we choose The 3Ten Event Venue . If we could, we'd do it all over again with them.

I recently had my wedding at North Garden Theater and could not have been happier. This was such a gem to find. Ryan and Tina were amazing to work with, so responsive and helpful. You can tell they really care about making sure your event goes perfectly. Tables, chairs and linens came with the rental, which most places do not do. We got to customize the lighting, the dance party lighting (which is extensive with fog machine!), and the entire layout. They have a bar onsite and the cocktails were great! They were able to serve our guests very quickly. We used multiple Spotify playlists for our music and Ryan was on point switching between them at the right times. The facilities were amazing too; large dressing room to get ready, and nice big bathrooms that they continually cleaned throughout the night. They are also big on reducing waste so we were able to use all compostable cups, which we also had our caterer use all compostable plates and silverware. I really do not have enough great things to say about Ryan, Tina and NGT; they made such a magical day for us!!!
