Situated in the pine trees of Nacogdoches, Texas, our 1914 registered historic church was home to one of the oldest African American congregations in the state. Built by famed architect Diedrich Rulfs, Zion Hill Baptist Church is the embodiment of timeless Southern elegance and simplicity. The church has been restored over the years to its former glory and updated with modern heating and cooling systems, security systems, and handicap accessibility so that it may continue to be a pillar of the community through historical preservation and social engagement. Zion Hill can accommodate a variety of events such as wedding ceremonies, micro receptions, bridal showers, and more. We are a Smithsonian Affiliated Museum in downtown McKinney. Built in1900 and established in 1970. We have 54 years of service! We have the Art-O-Mat which is a vintage machine repurposed for collectible art hence the Art-O-Mat! People travel all over the world and to McKinney to add to their art collections! The Heard Craig Art Center & Museum has private parking in downtown McKinney with a private garden, gazebo, and Carriage House. The private garden & Carriage House venue space is available to rent and our main house Museum offers group tours, luncheons, bridal tea, baby showers, and more! The beautiful trees drew us in and the history of The Peach Orchard intrigued us. The love story captivated us in such a way that it solidified the desire for this historic venue to be preserved. 601 Spring Event Center is located in the historic George T. Bishop Building at the intersection of Spring and Milam streets in downtown Shreveport. Our venue — rich with history and tradition — provides the perfect setting for any meeting, reception, celebration or ceremony. The building was constructed in the early part of the 20th Century and has had several owners and usages. One of the more notable was George T. Bishop, a successful automobile dealer who purchased the property in 1925. Elegantly refurbished with spectacular coffered ceilings, hand-carved woodwork, inlaid earthenware tiles, bronze chandeliers and solid wood cathedral- style doors, the Bishop Building was impressively opulent for Shreveport. Ironically, decades later another illustrious occupant of the building was the Ark-La-Tex Antique and Classic Vehicle Museum after which the building in the late 20th Century became known locally as the ‘antique car museum.’
