I began my career a decade ago. As a tour photographer, I began accompanying musicians all over the world. Little did I know at that point the low lights, high energy, and late nights would translate well into my career as a wedding photographer. My start as a music photographer gave me the confidence to navigate even the most challenging and unpredictable situations, and I use the same philosophy now while photographing weddings: keep calm, stay observant, and follow the action.

“We are so thrilled that we managed to book Jess for our engagement photos and wedding! Beautiful photography was a priority for us, and we wanted our photos to have a genuine, documentary style feel. We wanted the photos to capture the real beauty of the day, without being too heavily edited (we hate the photographers who made everything look pastel!). Jessica was completely in line with our style. My husband and I aren’t naturals in front of the camera, but Jessica made us feel so at ease. We were never uncomfortable with Jessica, and she felt like a natural part of the day. Jessica’s photos speak for themselves. She is able to create stunning visuals, but most impressively, Jess captures emotion in all of her photographs. At our wedding, Jessica and her assistant Kat were always present, but never intrusive. I feel like she is a photography ninja—I don’t even remember seeing her at certain moments, and yet there are beautiful photos of everything. No detail or moment was missed. From the day we worked with Jess on our engagement photos, we knew we were in more than capable hands. I am so impressed with Jessica’s ability to find unique spaces and framing for our photos—some of my favorite photos are in front of everyday places, but with Jessica’s eye they are turned into beautiful works of art. Because she did such a fantastic job with our engagement photos, we had no worries at all on our wedding day. One of Jess’ strengths is her background working as a photographer on music tours. Put her in any type of lighting or setting, and she has the technical skills and experience to create something amazing. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Jess’ professionalism—she is always early and is kind to everyone she interacts with. She is so passionate and excited about her work. Her calm, unflappable attitude made her a pleasure to be around on our wedding day. Her enthusiasm for her work is evident. She's also incredibly hardworking at every stage of the process. Jessica was able to edit our photos and got them back to us within 6 days of our wedding—that is unheard of! We love Jess and are so impressed by her! She is beyond talented and her stunning work will let us relive our wedding day whenever we want. All of our photos were fantastic—it’s hard to narrow down even our top 100 photos. We can’t thank Jess enough for capturing the joy we felt on our wedding day. I’m truly sad that our time working together is over. We had a destination wedding on the new Disney cruise ship, the Wish, and while it was an amazing time there were definitely challenges to planning a destination wedding at a brand new venue that we couldn't see until the wedding trip itself. Mikkel has a strong network of contacts in the industry that kept her informed of the ship and logistics and she ended up being more helpful to us than our Disney wedding coordinator! She checked in multiple times throughout our wedding planning on photography things such as the timeline, but also helped in providing her opinion on things like the bridesmaid dresses, the locations for the first look, and was generally helpful with her wealth of knowledge of Disney Cruise Line weddings to bounce ideas off of. Her pictures were INCREDIBLE! The quality, coloring, angles, lighting, everything about them is absolutely perfect. But most importantly, she is such a warm and happy person to work with that we felt incredibly comfortable posing in front of her for hours on end! We also had the luxury of her husband helping us a bit too and they were such a team, working together in the hot Bahamian sun quickly and effectively without even needing to direct each other most of the time to maximize how many pictures we could get before the sweat ruined our dress/suit/hair! Another attribute of Mikkel's that's worth mentioning is her flexibility. We took pictures with her the days before and after our wedding in addition to the big day, and our plan and timeline for the full weekend was completely in flux due to the chaos of our venue. If that caused issues for Mikkel, we never knew as she was upbeat and positive and leaned into every challenge that came our way. Honestly I could go on and on about her, she's exactly who we needed for our wedding and I am so grateful that we found her. If you are considering Mikkel, stop thinking about it and just book her - you won't regret it!”

“I got engaged on January 30th, 2024, and was married just a few short months later on May 18th, 2024. As a first-time bride trying to plan a wedding in such a condensed time frame, I was incredibly nervous, especially since I was trying to keep costs down. After securing my vendors and working on my timeline, it quickly became clear that there was no way I could enjoy my wedding day while worrying about coordinating every little detail myself. The sheer number of moving parts and tiny details was overwhelming. Enter Lauren and Kelsey. I had seen their work before as they were the coordinators for a friend’s wedding where I was a bridesmaid, and they did such an amazing job that I knew they were the perfect choice for my own wedding. Even though my venue provided a day-of coordinator, I realized that she (also so amazing at what she does) would be too focused on venue-specific duties like managing food and the bar to handle the full execution of my timeline, coordinate with outside vendors, or deal with the unexpected hiccups that inevitably arise. And those hiccups did arise. My bustle ripped, and Lauren literally crawled under my dress to fix it. We forgot to pick up the wedding cake, but they had it sorted. It even rained, and they navigated the situation flawlessly, all while managing family dynamics and calming me during moments when I felt completely overwhelmed. Your wedding day flies by, and before you know it, it's over. I am so thankful that I got to be present, enjoy every moment, and soak in the day without a single worry—thanks to Lauren and Kelsey. In just one month, they picked up every little piece of my 1,000-piece wedding puzzle and put it together seamlessly. Everything we envisioned, they made it a reality. Words really can’t describe how much value they provided. If you want to actually enjoy your wedding day, hire Lauren and Kelsey. They are simply the best. P.S. They even went the extra mile by bringing all the decorations, leftover food, gifts, and more back to our house, allowing us to head straight to our after-party without a worry. The picture below is one we got from them at home with our pups, whom they kindly took out for a potty break after the wedding. I seriously love these girls!”

In stepped Kolena, who helped us design, plan, and execute the most perfect day. We wanted to put up a sailcloth tent and hold our entire event outside at a family member's home. That involved bringing in EVERYTHING - the tents, the tables & chairs, the bars, the plates & glassware, the restroom trailers! and so much more. Kolena managed everything for us - from vendor sourcing to rental coordination to the burdensome permitting process for the tent. She was onsite for every site visit, the tent/rental setup, the rehearsal, and the day itself. From the very beginning, Kolena was capable, calm, and so thoughtful. We were married in May but I don't like pinks & pastels (your traditional spring wedding palettes). Without missing a beat, Kolena designed a gorgeous, lush green & white palette with black accents. She listens and really understands her clients -- it felt so US. Because our event was at a private property, we couldn't accommodate parking for our guests. I was particularly worried about ensuring the shuttles were reliable & ready for our guests. Kolena handled the entire process - from sourcing different quotes through the contract process and on the day-of to make sure everything went smoothly. On the day of our wedding, Kolena seamlessly helmed a vendor team of close to 25 people. She brilliantly suggested we put ponchos on guest chairs, in case it started to rain during our ceremony (it did) and transitioned our cocktail hour from outdoors to under the reception tent at lightning speed. As you can see, I have endless good things to say about Kolena & her team at Blue Sapphire Events. She works harder than almost anyone I've met, she's creative, she truly cares about every one of her clients, and I'm so, so grateful that she lent us her talents to make our wedding day perfect!”

From the first phone call and throughout the entire wedding planning process, she was so responsive, organized, and above and beyond helpful. Her pictures truly speak for themselves and I can’t even tell you how many strangers have reached out to tell me how beautiful the pictures are!! She also got them back to me in absolutely record time. On wedding day, I didn’t have a wedding planner, and she helped me put together a timeline and made sure everything went off without a hitch. She was soooo much fun to work with, was so laid back (while still being assertive and corralling our wedding party/family for pictures) and made sure everything was low-stress. Most people complain about their wedding portraits and how long it takes, but one of our favorite parts of the day was taking our portraits with Mandi and her second shooter (who was also so fun and fantastic). Planning is important, so we work closely with couples to put together an agenda for your day and make your wedding day experience perfect and hassle free! We can provide MC services and DJ services for cocktail hour, dinner and the reception. Additionally, we can provide live sound for the wedding ceremony if it's outdoors or in a building that doesn't provide you with audio reinforcement.
