The Haight is a wedding and event venue located in Elgin, IL and is enveloped by a historic neighborhood, for a romantic and storied setting for your wedding. This converted warehouse was originally constructed in the 1890s. It began as the Elgin Storage & Transfer Company. Over the years numerous companies used the building until 1985 when it was bought by John Haight, who refurbished the building. The Haight features two floors and a rooftop area. Brick walls and hardwood flooring accent exposed ductwork. There are multiple spaces for hosting your ceremony, reception, and many other wedding-related gatherings. On the first floor, there is room for up to 175 guests standing. This makes the 2,000-square-foot space ideal for the cocktail reception. The second floor features 7,000 square feet of space. 250 people seated or 200 people seated with a dance floor can fit in this event area. You can also take your celebrations outside on the spacious rooftop deck.

Located in Vernon Hills, Illinois, Loyola Lake County is home to the Cuneo family collection of fine art and furnishings, set in a beautiful 100-acre estate. Since receiving the estate, Loyola has completed a number of renovations and added a meeting and event pavilion for courses, lectures and special events. Loyola will continue its investment in the mansion.

Old meets new in our gorgeous historic venue. Built as the Kenosha National Bank in 1928, the main floor hosts a beautiful skylight, ornate ceiling and stunning chandelier. The marble staircase takes you to the lower level where you can see the vault, enjoy cocktail hours, take photos and more!

The house, known today as Reid Hall, was completed in 1908 and the family moved in on May 5, led by J. Ogden Armour, until approximately September of 1927. Many of the house’s mantle pieces, there are 15, and the paneling of the library reading room (or former living room), were imported from Paris, Vienna and London, including the marble dining room while the main walls are of Italian marble, the central panels of each wall have been painted over the plaster to simulate actual marble. It is also reputed that the marble staircase was built with the primary purpose in mind that their daughter, Lolita Ogden Armour, would descend the curving stairway on her wedding day, which she did in 1921, to John J. Mitchell, Jr. Eventually the property was sold to Lake Forest Academy where classes began in 1948. Today, Academy grounds total approximately 170 acres.

The Ellwood House Museum is an historic estate that offers three unique rental spaces on ten acres of gardens and grounds. It is available from March through mid-November and is our only venue where alcohol service is permissible. Ellcourt has an hourly rate of $350. The grounds also offer a choice of three garden spaces for wedding ceremonies. Garden rentals are available mid-May to mid-October and include an inclement weather backup location in the Hearthside Room of the Visitor Center. The rental rate is a flat fee of $500. The third venue is our more casual space, the Hearthside Room, which includes access to the galleries. It is available March through mid-November, and the rental rate is $75 per hour. All venues are limited to 80 people, and both indoor venues have full kitchens.
