We received so many compliments from all the guests for the quality of the live band we had; and to our joy, the dance floor was always brimming with people. We happened upon the band’s website via The Knot’s suggested music provider list and absolutely loved their sample videos, songs, pictures, and testimonials. From the get go, Laraine was a pleasure to work with - always clear, on point with her answers, considerate, personable, and compassionate. We spoke at length via several phone calls and email exchanges about our history as a couple and our music preferences and then we met in person to go over all the details and narrow down the list of our favorite songs, She paid close attention to the pronunciation of names, nailed the parent dance song suggestions and the timing of the different reception activities. On my arrival, parking was easy and there were clear directions made for all attendees. My work area had amazing lighting already set up, a chair and table set up, and a personalized gift bag and refreshments waiting for me. I thought that it was above and beyond with service for her vendors. It felt good to work in an environment where I walked in with great impressions, service, and appreciation for my services rendered. I was grateful to have a setup that allowed me to work with ease and comfort. Each person who required makeup had a time slot and was on time and prepped very well. “Avec L'Amour captured our wedding in June of 2023. We went with Avec L'Amour because we really liked the style and felt the prices were extremely reasonable compared to some of the other videographers out there. We went with the package that included the highlight film and the feature-length film. The audio on the feature-length film is a little tough to hear because of all the background noise, but we were outdoors and in front of a lake, so it’s understandable. While planning for our wedding, we worked directly with John. He had great energy and seemed very prepared every time we interacted with him. However, we never met John in-person because the day before our wedding, he reached out saying he could no longer make it and would be sending a replacement instead. This was understandably very stressful, but fortunately the replacement he sent was awesome. We would have liked to know this update earlier if possible, however we know that’s not always possible, and this was our only complaint in working with him. When John sent us the footage of our wedding, we were so happy with it with the exception of one place where the audio didn’t match up, one place where suddenly the video went purple, and the fact that one of our best man’s speeches was completely left out of the highlight reel; we brought these concerns to John, and he fixed them with no hesitation in a timely manner. Though we can’t review John’s videography or wedding day presence directly, we did have a good experience with his company and would recommend it!”

“I looked forward to every Tuesday night when my friends and I would gather at Brother Jimmy’s Murray Hill to watch The Barnstorm and dance until we couldn’t feel our feet. I knew in 2017 that one day I would get married and I wanted to recreate this wonderful feeling that I would get every Tuesday night. WELL, joke’s on me because I got that feeling and more. I do not even have words for the atmosphere that The Barnstorm created on our wedding day. Leading up to that day, Brooks was INCREDIBLY attentive to the hundreds of questions that I bombarded him with on a daily basis. He walked me through pricing, how the first dances would go, what kind of music gets played during dinner – every question came with an immediate follow up and a “how are you doing?” – completely above and beyond what a typical wedding band would provide. And that was before our wedding day even happened! The day of was indescribable. The atmosphere provided by The Barnstorm was absolutely electric and had every single person on the dance floor from 8 pm to 1130 pm. I genuinely feel like our wedding was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. The band is absolutely magnetic. To top it off about one week after our wedding, as we were reliving the day, I get a text message from a friend saying “we booked your wedding band!”. They are THAT freaking good. If you want to have the best night of your entire life PLEASE look no further than The Barnstorm.”

“I found Janine with Vow2Vow through Zola. I was drawn to her style of photography because I felt like she edited photos in a natural way. We scheduled a phone call and she was so warm and answered all my questions. As the wedding day got closer, I gave Janine my list of preferred shots. She managed to get every single shot!! I should note that I did not have a wedding party so that freed us up for portraits during the cocktail hour. All night Janine was unobtrusive while still managing to get the shots. She also did a great job of keeping an eye on the timeline and moving us swiftly along so we were able to enjoy the night. My husband and I were leaving for our honeymoon the day following the wedding so Janine managed to quickly give us some sneak peaks to hold us over until the final album was edited. I also have to mention that Janine was able to get good photos of my toddler children and manage to make us all look good despite the hundred percent humidity. We will cherish these photos forever!”

“We had nothing but positive experiences with Mario from engagement shoot to the big day! We used Mario for our engagement shoot in Philly about a year before our wedding. We were really unsure of locations and he had great suggestions that he ran by us and offered ideas ahead of time and during the shoot, he helped adjust as we looked at the lighting and space. We both expressed how unsure we were about taking professional pictures since this was a first for us and were not comfortable with a lot of the trendy shots and he really worked with us to make all the poses feel natural to us while still looking phenomenal. We decided to go with his associates for the big day based on our budget and they did not let down. Mario specifically picked two photographers who were familiar with our venue and had great suggestions for where to get the best shots. Our two associates, Rachel & Alyssa, were helpful, kind, fun, professional and absolute champs to get all the best pictures on our day. We had 100 degree temps and they worked so hard to make sure we were comfortable the entire time while not sacrificing the pictures we had planned for. They checked in with us often and were not afraid to tell our family that the group pictures were done so that we could actually enjoy cocktail hour (after confirming with us that is was what we wanted). They also took adorable couples pictures of our guests during lulls in the dinner service that my family and friends were beyond excited for. Mario and his associates are an absolute recommendation in my book and I can not say enough nice things about working with them!”
