Erica Mancini is one of our top artists at Music Dept. She is a Chicago-land native, born to Argentine parents, who moved to New York City in 2009. Erica has performed as an accordionist, vocalist, and percussionist internationally and throughout the US. Her diverse repertoire includes Jazz, New Orleans Music, French, and German/Bavarian/Oktoberfest. Erica also loves to perform well loved pop songs which audiences would never expect to hear on Accordion. These songs range from 80’s pop anthems to Amy Winehouse covers.

“As an entertainer I play guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica and sing. I know literally thousands of songs in several different styles, including multi-cultural and international songs in several different languages, when called for. My skill set is very high because this is my full time profession and has been my whole life. Not just a hobby. However, I don’t come to an event with the intention of playing every style I know. Instead I spend time with you in advance to determine exactly which styles, which eras and which songs you’d love to hear. And then that’s what I play. Plus I take requests right on the spot!

Emily Simone is a classically-trained electric violinist, DJ and producer who has dazzled audiences internationally with her dynamic, impassioned and completely improvised live performances. Bassist and bandleader Josh Levine got his start in the professional music business busking in SoHo with The Flying Neutrinos in ’93, so when NYC shut down in Spring of 2020, he capitalized on his experience as a street performer and began to play regularly in the parks of NYC with percussionist and sonero, Jainardo Batista, renowned flutist Itai Kriss making his debut on Cuban trés guitar, and María Raquel on vocals and minor percussion. Before long, the quartet had generated some buzz, several venues hired them to play outdoors and pianist Gabriel Chakarji and Grammy winning flutist and vocalist Jeremy Bosch became staples of the group.
