Chapel 1899 is conveniently just an hour outside of Madison and Milwaukee, allowing your guests to reach the Chapel with ease. The main level at Chapel 1899 doubles as a beautiful ceremony and reception space. After the ceremony, the staff will flip the main level to prepare for the reception. Your guests are welcome to enjoy the other gathering areas at this time, such as the lower-level lounge and bar area. Please keep in mind that we have a limit of 100 guests to be seated for dinner. The Chapel was finished in 1905 and was in use until 2007 when the 3 Catholic Parishes (St. Michael’s, St. Patrick’s, and St. Peter’s) merged into one. The new Parish is now known as St. Katharine Drexel Parish. In November 2010 we purchased the church from St. Katharine Drexel Parish. A lifeless shell that had been empty for 3 years, we hope to revitalize this stately building, share its beauty and grandeur with the community, and open it to all who are looking for a unique space to hold events. Opening in mid-summer of 2011, Chapel of the Archangels is limited only by your imagination, we offer a great place to hold weddings, wedding receptions, anniversaries, vow renewals. The sky’s the limit! We also offer a convenient reception hall, meeting and educational facility in the Angel’s Den downstairs, complete with bar, kitchen facilities, and Wi-Fi. We are a non-denominational facility. We are also handicapped accessible to both the main sanctuary and to the basement via the elevator.

The Wagner House, located in the historic Wagner Print Building, is a three-story industrial warehouse in downtown Freeport, Illinois. The building was built in 1903 and was one of the first buildings that had electricity in Freeport. Established in 1853 and incorporated on March 9, 1912, the Wagner Building was home to the German-born Wagner Family who, like Freeport, has a long and interesting history. The Wagner House also served as an industrial manufacturing spot for textiles and fashion. For four generations, the business did not change hands, and the present Wagner company pledged to continue their record of quality printing and letterpress and are still in business today. In 2013, The Wagner building was sold to Bill Green to redevelop and re-imagine it, creating a wine bar, business incubator, and beautiful event space.
