The Charlestown Rathskeller started out as a speakeasy in a different time, and has grown into something entirely unique since then. Nestled in the woods of Charlestown since 1933, the Rathskeller is one of the most memorable dining and entertainment destinations in Southern New England. We serve deliciously grilled steaks, local seafood, burgers and sandwiches in our meticulously restored dining room and tavern, beautiful outdoor patio, and at our indoor and outdoor bars. Just across the restaurant’s backyard sits our rustic outdoor music and entertainment venue. Down Back, our summer stage, backyard bar and burger shack surround a roaring bonfire on cool summer nights. Guests from all over New England descend on the Charlestown Rathskeller for concerts featuring some of the best party, pop, rock and country cover acts in the region. With tasty food and beverages, plus backyard games like horseshoes, cornhole and bocce, guests can enjoy a whole day or night at the Rathskeller.

At Bay Path Barn you and your guests can enjoy a celebration surrounded by a blissful pastoral environment. This location is perfect for couples that want to add their own unique touches to their special celebration. You can celebrate both your ceremony and reception in style. Begin your day by readying yourself in the back room, which can be fashioned into a dressing room. Your ceremony can take place outside in the grass, set against a romantic backdrop of trees and farmland. And your reception can take place in the main function room. This space features hardwood floors which are ideal for both your banquet dining setup and your dance floor.

Our ancestors settled here in 1635 from Heavitree, England, hence the name. We are one of the few longest-living farms to continue in the founder’s name “Geer.” The Heavitree is an original 18th-century building saved and moved to its current location, a 140+ acre farm started by our ancestors in 1700. The original structure was a tavern in Rhode Island, saved from destruction by Charlotte Geer to complement her family’s historic farmland. With twelve rooms, including four sleeping chambers, modern amenities, and unique 18th-century rooms, the 4,780 sq. ft. farmhouse offers a historic experience.
