My love for photography started when I was in high school. I became the school yearbook and newspaper photographer the end of my sophomore year until I graduated. For me, the ending of that journey was the saddest thing about my graduation. I was told being a photographer wouldn’t gain me a living, and I should aspire for something higher. I listened to other people instead of following my heart. It wasn’t until after my father passed away, I realized what I should have done. Now I am trying to regain my dream, and prove to myself and others that you can achieve anything your heart truly desires, regardless of what others may say.

I was in 8th grade when my teacher let me borrow her camera and walk take photos around the school for class. I fell in love with depth of field and would spend hours taking random photos of lockers or fences because of the "blur" it created. That evolved into having "photoshoots" with my friends and neighbors every day, and now, 10 years later, it's grown into so much more.

I moved around a lot growing up and I can remember not always loving it. But now, truly grateful for how it's shaped me. My husband was the exact opposite. Welcome to R Wittwer Photography! My photography business started in New Mexico 4 years ago taking portraits and family pictures. After I moved to Utah for school, I realized I loved capturing all the wonderful emotions that come with engagements and bridals!
